This tutorial article is going to guide you through the USB function for the Phenyx Pro PTX-20/ptx-30 audio mixer.

We have covered the Bluetooth function of the Phenyx Pro PTX-20 audio mixer in another blog post (check it out HERE).  In this article, we are going to introduce the USB function for this audio mixer that enables you to both play and record music.

1- HOW TO PLAY MUSIC FOR PTX-20/PTX-30

STEP ONE

The first step is to plug in the power adapter and turn on the switch. Then, the display screen will show "No" as default.

STEP TWO

Insert the USB drive and wait for the device to retrieve audio files. If this is the first time you use the USB drive. The audio file is automatically played from the top of the list. Otherwise, it will begin from the last audio file you played. If you want to adjust the volume, please use the light blue fader to control.

2 - HOW TO RECORD MUSIC FOR PTX-20/PTX-30

To activate the USB recording function, you need to make sure that there is at least one MP3 file in the USB stick. You cannot record audio to an empty drive.

STEP ONE

Long press the white Stop/REC button to enter the recording mode. The word “rEC” will appear on the screen.

STEP TWO

Tap the blue Program knob to start recording. You can stop or continue the recording anytime by short pressing it again.

STEP THREE
When finishing the recording, long-press the Program nob to save the file. It will be added as the last song on the list and automatically saved in an MP3 format.

The REP button allows you to switch between Repeat and Loop playing mode. If you want to switch songs, You can turn the knob clockwise or counterclockwise to do so. In addition, you can also pause/play songs by pressing the Program knob.

It is important to note that the USB function cannot work with the Bluetooth function simultaneously. You cannot stream music via Bluetooth and record it to the USB stick.

We have also created a tutorial video to walk you through the process. Check it out now!
