Many users enjoy recording their audio through the USB port on the PTX-20/PTX-30 audio mixer. To improve the recording experience and provide a cleaner sound, we have upgraded the audio interface software inside the mixer starting from January 2022. However, mixers purchased before with serial numbers less than PTX20510 will require a manual upgrade. Here we will show you how to do it with our upgrading file.

STEP ONE

Download the upgrade file HERE and copy it to a USB stick. Please make sure not to change the file name and keep at least one song on your USB drive!

STEP TWO

Turn on the PTX-20/30 and insert the USB drive into the USB port.

STEP THREE

Wait for a beeping alert sound, and the OUTPUT LEVEL area will flash, which shows that the device is upgraded successfully. Afterward, unplug the USB drive and delete the upgrade file from it.

STEP FOUR

Restart the device and insert the USB drive again for recording. You can now enjoy the recording function with a cleaner sound without distortion.

We have also created a tutorial video to walk you through the process. Check it out now!
