The Phenyx Pro PTX-20 is a 6-channel audio mixer with 3-band EQ, built-in 99 DSP effects, Bluetooth streaming, and a USB audio interface. It also has an eight-channel version, the PTX-30. In this article, we are going to set up the PTX-20 and walk through its Bluetooth function.
The first step is to plug in the power adapter and turn on the switch, and the display screen will show "No" as default.
STEP TWO
Press the white MP3/BT CONNECT button at the bottom right corner. The word "bE" then appears on the screen. At the same time, you can see the Bluetooth icon flashing on the screen, which indicates that the Bluetooth function is activated.
STEP THREE
You can turn on the Bluetooth on your smartphone or iPad, and select the device under the name of "MIX MP3-BT" to connect. When the Bluetooth connection is successful, the Bluetooth icon will stop flashing.
Now you can use the Program knob to control the music streamed in. Press the Program knob to play or pause the music. Turn the knob clockwise, you can select the next song in the list, and doing so counterclockwise will bring you back to the previous track.
One reminder. The audio streamed in via Bluetooth will not pass through the 99 DSP processor, so you would not be able to add any effects to it. The 99 DSP effects will only apply to audio input from the six main channels.
