I recently purchased Phenyx Pro’s PWM-10 to replace the wired in-ear system my band uses for our drummer. Originally we were using a TRS 1/4 to XLR cable (for his mix) and two TS 1/4 cables (for click and tracks) [the yellow, black, and red cables pictured which ran to the Behringer mixer also pictured]. He began to have issues with it to I wanted to give this a try. I have worked with Phenyx Pro products before and enjoyed them so I knew I would like this one.The PWM-10 is abolsutely excellent. Allowing for a seamless operation and adjustment for the user. I ran one of the XLR outputs to my drummers mix and the other to his click and mounted the PWM-10 in my rack. That way all we have to run for a show is the Ethercon cable and he can plug right in.The product performs well, boosting the signal and providing a clean sound. Allowing our drummer to seamlessly switch between mono and stereo depending on his mood as well as the volume of each input and the overall volume. It was exactly what we needed and I am very happy with this product. I absolutely will be purchasing from Phenyx Pro again and encourage everyone to as well.

I'm both the drummer and sound guy for my band, so I usually perform line and soundchecks and an in-house technician is not provided. As you could imagine, this creates a couple of issues as I need to get everything set up (drums and sound equipment) check everyone's levels, and then adjust the mix and also ensure my own in-ear monitor mix is adjusted before the show begins. It also presents the issue of not knowing how the FOH mix sounds during the performance, as I cannot simply take out my in-ear monitors for a quick listen (since all I would hear is my drums).I recently brought the PMW-10 to a show to see if it could help me multitask while making the FOH and IEM mix.I have a Y-splitter that i used to split the Main L output into 2 channels (1 to go to the actual FOH L speaker and 1 to go into the PMW-10). I routed my personal IEM mix through input 1 of the PMW-10 and routed the FOH mix through input 2. I turned off power to the actual FOH PAs to ensure the FOH mix was only going to my ears, then went down and checked everyone's levels for gain staging, etc.; I turned the 1st output dial to 0 for my IEM mix and the 2nd output dial about halfway up for the FOH mix as I checked levels, and simply reversed the dials to quickly check the levels for my own IEM feed. I continued the process as we did our full soundcheck to ensure everything blended together in the FOH mix while ensuring I was able to make necessary adjustments to what I wanted to hear in my own mix. Finally, I turned power back on to the actual FOH speakers and did a quick sanity check to make sure everything sounded good with the room acoustics. To summarize, this wired IEM rig allowed me to switch between my own personal in-ear monitor feed and the FOH mix, allowing me to kill 2 birds with 1 stone and adjust levels seamlessly during both soundcheck and the actual performance. I was able to continuously monitor the FOH levels during the performance by switching between my in-ear monitor mix and the ma.

What a great idea! I'm a pro audio engineer and musician, and I've wanted something like this for years. This weekend I'm mixing a gig, so I set it up for the guitarist in the band. Channel 1 is his monitor mix controlled by his phone, and channel 2 is just his guitar. He used his phone during rehearsal to get a full mix, but during the gig he was able to adjust his guitar up and down from the beltpack, and didn't have to have that awkward moment of pulling his phone out on stage during the show.It works great using it as just a regular stereo headphone amp, but having that option to mix 2 mono sources just by flipping a switch is a game changer! It seems to be built really well also. Metal casings, braided cables, none of it feels cheap. I also appreciate that you can power it with a 12v power supply instead of having to go through AAA batteries, and they include the power supply.

This is amazing finally Phenyx Pro is utilizing Audio over Ethernet and came out with this mono/stereo wired in ear set up. They even thought of everything! What if you want to power it with a wall wart instead of batteries? They gave it a DC input cable and included the power adapter as well as the AAA batteries. Independent Left and Right volume controls so you can decode which side of the spectrum you need more of and a main master volume as well. It as a solid EQ curve but it isn't so punchy on the lows so it may not be so great for a drummer or bass player as a wired solution. But overall this is a phenomenal wired stereo option for anyone with 2 xlr stereo outputs. Xlr male to 1/4 trs adapters can be obtained if tou only have 1/4 outputs on your mixer or interface.

I’ve been testing out the Phenyx Pro PWM10, and it’s a really interesting shift for a company known mostly for their wireless gear. This is a two-channel wired in-ear monitor system, and after putting it through its paces, I’m quite impressed with the performance. The kit is very complete. It comes with the portable receiver, an XLR breakout box/cable, a 7m Ethercon cable, a DC power supply, batteries, and the manual. The Standout Features: Power Over Ethernet (PoE): This is the feature I was most excited about. You can power the belt pack directly through the Ethercon cable via the breakout box. It’s a huge benefit not to have to worry about batteries during a long session, though you can use AAAs if you prefer. Build Quality: The receiver and the breakout box are both all-metal. It feels professional and durable, definitely built to handle regular use. Serious Gain: My favorite part is the volume. I tested this against the headphone jack on my interface (which is usually too quiet), and the PWM10 was significantly louder and crystal clear. It provided a much superior monitoring level. Independent Controls: Having separate knobs for Input 1 and 2 is great. I was able to adjust my left and right ears independently, and the master volume worked exactly as expected.A Couple of Notes: Grounding: Because the chassis is all metal, I did notice a tiny bit of ground hum when touching the unit while standing on carpet. It wasn't a dealbreaker for me, but something to be aware of depending on your environment. Setup: It offers both Mono and Stereo modes, giving you some good flexibility depending on your mix.Final Verdict:If you’re looking for a wired monitoring system that feels rugged and actually delivers a loud, clear signal, the PWM10 is a fantastic choice. The PoE capability alone makes it a winner for my setup. Highly recommended!

The Phenyx Pro dual-channel wired in-ear monitor amplifier has been a fantastic addition to my live setup. It delivers clear, strong audio with plenty of volume for stage environments without distortion. The dual XLR inputs are a huge advantage, allowing flexible connections, and the stereo/mono switch makes it easy to adapt depending on the mix. The sound is clean and balanced, which is exactly what you want when monitoring vocals or instruments during performances.I also appreciate the portability. It’s compact, lightweight, and can run on DC power or 2 AAA batteries, which is convenient for rehearsals and gigs. The build feels solid and durable enough for regular stage use. This is a dependable personal headphone amp that performs reliably for bands, live performances, and recording sessions. Great value for the features it offers!

The Phenyx Pro PWM-10 is a perfect wired IEM especially for the price point. The build quality is great it’s an all metal design and feels like it will hold up to steady professional use. The sound quality is great and I love how you can adjust each channel separately and you have the control to adjust the overall volume. You can run it off of batteries or plug it into an outlet I also like the cat5 cable so your only running one cable from your source to the listener. If your looking for a wired IEM that won’t break the bank but still give you professional quality I would highly recommend the Phenyx Pro PWM-10

At this point, the audio quality has been very satisfactory and has not presented any problems during operation. The audio is produced clearly and consistently throughout the entire process of using the unit, and meets the manufacturer's specifications; there is no noticeable hum or interruption to the audio signal's integrity. The unit's housing appears to be well constructed.

This in ear monitor amplifier performs very well. The audio signal is clean and clear with no noticeable noise, making it easy to monitor your mix accurately. It interfaces nicely with my existing gear through the XLR inputs and setup is straightforward. The controls are simple and allow you to dial in a comfortable monitoring level without much effort. The unit itself feels well built and durable enough for regular use in live or recording environments. Overall the sound quality and construction are both very good and I am very pleased with how it performs.

This is a practical solution for stage monitoring, rehearsals, and small live production setups where performers need reliable personal audio control. The dual XLR inputs provide flexibility for stereo or summed mono feeds, and switching modes is straightforward. Output is clean with sufficient headroom to drive in-ear monitors without noticeable hiss at reasonable levels. Volume control is responsive and easy to adjust mid-performance.The unit feels durable enough for repeated use in gig environments. Battery power via AAA makes it portable, while the DC input allows more permanent setups. It focuses on doing one job well: delivering stable, controlled monitoring without unnecessary complexity. For bands, churches, small venues, or recording sessions where wired IEM is preferred, this performs reliably and earns a solid 5/5.

The sound quality is very clear with this - the connectivity has no issues and is compatible with my unit. There was a little “popping” noise, but I changed out the wire and it seemed to resolve the issue. Seems pretty universally compatible as well.
