This rack case is simply the best I have ever used/seen/wanted. Once cover has fitted foam insulation for 3 mics (sized appropriately for wireless mics) and extended antennae. The rear cover has a zipper closed mesh compartment for all the other goodies that would bounce around inside without the mesh bag for protection.The rack mount maximum depth is 9" (with a standard 17" rack mount width). Terrific for wireless receivers and other audio processing equipment, but not deep enough to mount the majority of power amps. The internal rack cage is steel, and screwed into the hard molded plastic case that is incredibly tough. Road/touring tough, not amateur stuff. Even the latches are well designed steel components. The front & back portions mate with the main case via matching tongue & groove to provide a very secure alignment that will not slip off, even if greatly abused with rough handling.Included is a silicon rubber anti-slip pad which may be great of other applications, but I do not see any use for it on top of the case for a notebook computer for wireless receivers, audio/music use, or even AC power distribution, or AC power sequencer. HOWEVEVER, if you place a rack mount 17" DMX lighting distribution in here, the slip pad for computer control is definitely useful! IMHOHIGHLY recommended (but verify the depth you require)

The case lids were nice with one lid that had the cut outs for the microphones and the zipper bag on the other lid.

I’ve been really impressed with this rack case. It’s been perfect for my Cranborne audio interface, and I’ve also used it to hold wireless systems with no problem. The build quality is tough and durable, and it’s clearly made to handle real-world use. There are convenient spaces inside for microphones and accessories, and it even comes with a sturdy strap that makes transport easy. Everything about it feels solid and well thought out. Fantastic case, I’d absolutely recommend it.

The storage lids are a little awkward. They are a little difficult to put on and they are a little heavy once you unlatch them. So be careful because the lid will fall off quickly once the latches are off.

I have a fair amount of Phenyx Pro wireless gear, and I really like what the brand represents in that it offers better than average performance for a reasonable price.There's no better example of a high value proposition than this particular case. The fit and finish on this road case is absolutely first-rate. It's a great looking piece of gear! I am quite impressed with the build quality, and I feel it will last for many many years without failure.I have other light weight plastic rack cases from a few major manufacturers and this 4U case is amongst the finest I have seen, irrespective of price. It boasts a few very nice features that are worthy of mention. One of the covers has a foam insert with cutouts that fit several brands of wireless mics. There is the capacity to store three hand-held mics as well as 2 lavalier body pack transmitters. I would have preferred the cutouts be configured to hold four hand-held mics instead, but there isn't physically enough room for that to have worked out, so I do understand why they made this particular design choice.Under the second lid there is an integrated zipper pouch, yet another great feature that has been overlooked by virtually every other manufacturer of these sort of cases... nice job Phenyx Pro... you're going to give the competition something to work on!There are rack rails on both the front and back of the case, so you can move those connector panels to the back.This is a reasonably rugged case at an extremely affordable price. I can HIGHLY recommend it!

This thing exceeded every expectation I had. The interior comes with precision-cut foam for handheld mic storage, which is rare at this price point. Both lids have built-in storage nets for accessories, cables, or power supplies, which turns this from a basic rack into a genuinely well-thought-out piece of mobile gear.I’ve owned much more expensive road cases that didn’t have half this level of practical design. Phenyx clearly understands how working musicians and techs actually use their gear. Lightweight, sturdy, and smartly laid out. This is a company worth keeping an eye on.
