The wireless in-ear system performed excellently during my test at a live event with a four-piece band—no issues at all. For the price, there's really nothing comparable on the market. However, one thing to keep in mind is that the included headphones are subpar. While it's a pleasant surprise that any headphones are included at this price, you will likely want to upgrade them for better sound quality. Another downside is the rackmount system: although it has holes for front-mounting antennas, they are positioned too close to the rails, making it impossible to mount the antennas in front. This could have been easily avoided if the holes were placed further from the rails. Because of this, I’m giving the system 4 stars instead of 5.

I was a little skeptical about trying this one out after having some drop out issues with the 2 channel version. But this one seems to be on a whole diffrent level! I must say I was impressed by it. I was running all 4 body packs while having an additional 6 wireless mics. And not once did I experience any interference. There is plenty of volume in these units, specially if you are using sound isolating in ears. The body packs are made out of plastic so they can feel a little cheap and not as rugged as maybe a metal housing one, but that’s the least of my concerns personally. One thing I do wish these had would be an auto scan feature. It being a low budget system probably means you probably don’t have a fancy RF traffic station to scan and see what channels are available. So it would be nice if it would be integrated to this unit. I can’t say much about the range as we ware set up all within 20-30 feet away, but battery didn’t seem to drop over the 2 hours of use. Over all it’s definetly a nice unit for the price considering you can’t even get a 1 channel unit of the shure or sennheiser for this price.

I love this inears system ,the quality of the signal it’s great ,ease of use super easy the connections the best I’m in love with this unit I highly recommend it for your band

The PTM-33 IEM system is awesome!! The 1U transmitter unit fit nicely in my 19” rolling rack case, however there are a couple things you should be aware of. First, you will need XLR patch cables and 1/4 inch adapters if your mixing board’s Aux sends are XLR as is the case with my rack mixer. There are no patch cables included. Do yourself a favor and order some XLR to 1/4 inch patch cables when you order the PTM-33. Next, the power cable is not IEC so you will need a small extension cord to plug in the power adapter since it will extend below most 1U power supplies in your rack. If you don’t use a small extension cord, you may have to move something in your rack down to plug in the adapter. I had to move a few of my already racked components which was tricky because my rack is filled pretty full. Once I sorted out the patch cable and power supply situations, I was able to use the system flawlessly at a few gigs recently and I will tell you I am very pleased with its performance. Syncing the receiver packs to the transmitter is simple. We have had no signal drop outs and the sound is really very good even with the supplied ear buds. The best part is that I no longer have to lug and set up floor wedges and compete with stage volume to mix FOH, especially at smaller venues. If you are looking for a budget friendly, good performing IEM system, look no further.

I was very blessed to be able to try out the PTM-33-4B Phenyx Pro IEM system. The ease of setup and the seamless integration with other equipment like the Phenyx Pro 3PDP for guitars and the Phenyx Pro PTU-7000 microphone system can make a significant difference in a live performance setting. The absence of dropouts or interference is a testament to the reliability of the technology, which is crucial for maintaining the flow of a performance. It's also great to know that the clarity of sound contributed to the musicians' ability to perform harmonies accurately. The Importance of quality audio equipment in enhancing the overall musical experience for both performers and listeners.

I purchased this product for my band in order to have our customized in ear mixes.Likes:It can transmit 4 different mono inputs to 4 seperate receivers simultaneously without causing interference to each other or the signals outside.Setup is extremely easy by plugging inputs. You can select group and channel and sync the receivers with IR in 1 sec. It requires only 1U rack space. We have been using it since few weeks both in studio and stage, and never faced a signal drop.I used 2100mAh rechargable batteries and the receivers stood for about 8 hours.Dislikes:The receiver material seems fragile so don’t drop them:)There is a little noise when turned on but not audible while playing.Sound quality is not very good however you don’t need high sound quality in in-ear monitoring.Final thought: I had some concerns before purhasing but considering the price it is magnificient.

Amazing that 4 channels can fit in just one rack space. Our four-piece acoustic band can now hear clearly and moreover consistently, night after night. We’ve experienced no drop outs or interference. The belt packs are sturdy and provide plenty of gain. Battery life is amazing. The included earbuds are adequate but add a decent pair of IEMs and you’ll be really impressed. Thank you, Phenyx Pro.

*watch the video review for a quick run down*I want to preface this review by saying nobody influenced me to write this. I am writing this out of my own compulsion to do so, because that’s how stoked I am on this product. All the frustration my band has gone through with other IEM systems we have owned (live performance drop outs, battery doors busting, belt clips flying off, horrible sound quality and volume levels, etc) I had to write this. Read on..I have nothing but great things to say about this Phenyx Pro IEM system for the price point. Every other sub $500 IEM system my band has used has failed in one way or another, primarily with signal drop outs during live performances which is VERY FRUSTRATING.PROS:-Sound quality is much better than any other budget IEM system you will find. Is it Sennheiser G4 quality? No. But there’s zero latency, and the minimal static noise you might hear is to the point where you’re not gonna dwell on it.-This packs in 4 channels for 4 individual mixes in 1u rack space. WHAT?! It saves a ton of space.-No need to label body packs. Each pack simply pairs to the channel of choice through infrared sensors. Select channel, hold pack to sensor. Done. You can easily switch between IEM mixes or rapidly share mixes with this feature.-Includes rack mounts, antenna cables and holes to mount antennas in front of case. WIN! Having direct line of sight at shows is great, and the antennas fit with the front lid of the case without having to take them off.- VOLUME. These things are easily 5x louder than our previous packs. No need for headphone amplifiers at all.-Input peaking? Input volume control knobs for each channel on front of display.-Easily change frequencies for each channel. Group button and RF channel button for each of the 4 packs.-Quality. Heavier duty plastics and metal. You won’t have battery doors flying off with these. The belt clips are sturdy as well.-Dual inputs to insert a second line for click, another instrument etc.-Loop ou.

All I can is wow. I've used many different types of ear monitor systems. From easy setup to simple syncing. I am currently using this on a short tour and have let other artists use them as well & all were impressed with mo loss of signal in buildings with a lot of concrete & metal. I was also impressed with the distance of connectivity even with all other wireless mics, guitar rigs, & wireless / wifi mixers. The loop outs are a smart idea. The only suggestion I would make is inputs being XLR as a sound tech. Special cords and adapters are fine but most things I use ( XAir, X32, M32, etc ) are all XLR out & think that most mixer auxiliaries are headed that way. Overall a great piece of equipment.Roger Barkley Jr

The Phenyx Pro PTM-33 is by far the BEST budget wireless IEM system that I have used to date. I’m the worship director of worship team for a small church that averages in about 50-60 members per Sunday for our one 11am-1pm worship service. Before using the Phenyx Pro PTM-33 we were using a super budget 2 channel 250 dollar wireless IEM system with 6 wireless receivers sharing two channels. Needless to say as a band we were more or less dealing with it more than we were actually happy with it. We had more than occasional dropouts, the sound coming from the receivers were not only so quiet that the system needed an additional purchase of an amp to be usable, but they also were extremely treble heavy and left a lot of lower frequencies completely lost in the mix. We were always trying everything in our power to get more of our lower frequencies to come through clearly on these and just ended up dealing with it because at least we were able to somewhat hear ourselves despite the quality.Fast forward to the beginning of 2023 when I decided it was time to go wireless with our mics and ended up choosing the Phenyx Pro PTU-7000A which we were absolutely amazed by. This made me curious enough to get the PTM-33 wireless IEM system.Hooking this system up was a dream. I was actually late the day I decided to hook the new system up, panicking, thinking I wouldn’t have the time, but thank the Lord for how easy setup was. I had it out the box, connected to our system and ready to go in 5 minutes flat. Due to the ability to make a daisy chain connection, I literally only needed one wire from the system I already had and a couple spare short wires that I had sitting around to connect every channel and back out into the original system we were using. I couldn’t dream of it being any easier than this! The size of the transmitter was absolutely perfect as well, being not much bigger than the system and amp we already had. I think the only thing that would probably make me happier for t.

Okay so I was a little weary given the price that you get four IEM’s for the price of $500 when the Shure and Sennheiser brands cost about $800 for a single IEM system (not even one of their duals). I work for a sound company where one of our clients is a wedding band company and for our singers we usually provide theShure IEM’s and even for our guitarists and bass players when they go in the crowd with the wireless Shure guitar packs. Depending where we are those have frequency issues and from TIME drop out when not attached to the PSM antenna paddle distribution console in our rack. These honestly to me sounded great. I used this on a wedding band that I did this past Sunday on my own at a country club in CT. So I knew I wouldn’t have much signal interference. They pleasantly surprised me. I plugged 2 of them into the Behringer P16 system and used the other 2 out of the mix bus outs on my Behringer X32. One of them had a lot of white noise for some reason while plugged into the P16 (which was weird because it shouldn’t have given off signal interference). I unplugged that one from the P16 and directly into the X32 console and had no issues. I plugged a different one into that same P16 (never changed cables) and the white noise was gone and gave me perfectly clear and pristine sound. The distance on these were decent as well. Once in a while the signal would drop for a millisecond but that’s to be expected with any wireless system not using antenna paddles. Overall I give them a 8.5/10. Maybe even a 9. I’ll leave another review once I purchase a paddle distribution system as well to go with these and my wireless mics. But honestly for the price and the amount of IEM’s you receive with this purchase you can’t go wrong. My only reason for even leaving this review is because there weren’t any when I purchased this product and once again I was really nervous at first. HOWEVER after taking the chance and trying them out I’m super happy that I did make the purchase. If.

Super clear sound! I appreciate how this model use the volume nob to turn it on the pack controls super simple to use and link. Only downside is the pack is plastic you do have to be careful and not drop it. Overall solid product!

Great purchasing experience. Delivery time was reasonable. I have made a few tests, but haven't used it in a gig yet. I'm impressed with the quality of the sound, ease of use, and build construction. This was my first Phenyx Pro equipment and I'll definitely consider by more from them.

I tour all over the country and have used this IEM system on big and small stages inside and outside with no issues. The PAS-227X | UHF 4-Way Wireless Antenna Combiner Bundle for the IEM System and stage paddle really helps with the range and sound clarity.

L
LRPC

I'm using this in a Church auditorium (clear line of sight) along with cordless AT cordless mics for our worship band. When looking into IEM there are three tiers. Very cheap, prosumer and pro. Don't waste your time or money on the very cheap. The financial jump from prosumer, which is what I would consider this unit, to pro is huge. This unit worked perfectly for us. The 900hz range is no where near our wireless mics therefore we have no interference or connection issues. The sound quality with good IEM headsets is good. The headphones that come with this unit are good for testing, but not what your musicians will want. This unit accepts stereo inputs but sends out a blended mono signal. That is fine for most people and bands. It also has a loop out which other units in this price range do not. The unit is of good quality for this price point and we have been very pleased. The pacs will auto connect to the unit for easy setup. Having tried other units in this price range I would highly recommend the Phenyx pro.
