I am extremely impressed with the Phenyx PTV-2000 system. Brought these out for guests to use when I host karaoke, and I no longer have to worry about my more expensive gear being potentially abused by folks who have had a “few too many” or their kids.The sound quality actually really surprised me, after applying some processing (EQ, compression, and reverb) on my mixer, I truly didn’t hear any discernible difference between these and microphones that each cost double what this entire 4 microphone system cost.The battery life and range isn’t really something that I tested because I always put fresh batteries in all of my microphones at the start of the night, and the setup/stage area was quite small.One thing I will note is that the microphones are plastic and very lightweight. I don’t know if they would survive being repeatedly dropped or knocked off of a table as can happen when hosting karaoke regularly.This system would be a tremendous value at twice what they are charging for it!

Honestly didn't know what to expect from a VHF system in the age of UHF systems. I can say I was VERY pleasantly surprised with the sound quality. We used these for our band rehearsal and usually rehearse for about 3 hours straight. The battery life lasted the whole time with no problem. One thing I was worried about at first was that the handhelds were fully plastic and I wasn't sure how much 'hand nosie' I would hear. Very happy to say it was very minimal. If you're looking for a low dollar clean sounding fixed frequency multiple mic system, definitely give theses a look!

The PHENYX PRO PTV 2000 (4) Wireless Microphone System is a great Entry Level System. The wireless handheld is of a plastic composite, which had me a little concerned. The metal diaphragm of the microphone looked promising. I assembled and plugged the microphone system into a PreSonus? StudioLive AR8c Analog Mixer and utilized some powered speakers to test out the sound of the microphone. Setup and assembly was easy and straightforward. I did a comparison with a Shure QLXD2/SM58 Wireless Handheld Microphone I typically use on daily basis. The sound quality was comparable with the Shure Mic offering a bit richer sound. I tested the PHENYX PRO PTV 2000 Wireless mic by bearing down into the mic attempting to distort the sound. The microphone held up with no distortion. The PHENYX PRO PTV 2000 Microphone Wirelesss System could be EQ'ed well with a mid grade quality sound mixer. I was greatly surprised for this being an entry level wirelss microphone system. I walked around the large banquet meeting space and did not lose signal or frequency.I would recommend this PHENYX PRO PTV 2000 Wireless Microphone System for a small to medium venue. Definitely could be used for a small clubs, karaoke venues, small places of worship, and maybe in a restaurant setting.Some cons with the PHENYX PRO PTV 2000 Microphone Wireless Microphone System is that it only offers 2 XLR outputs to a mixer. It would be great to have 4 XLR outputs for each individual microphone as to be able to EQ each microphone individually instead of EQ'ing 2 Bundled Mics on each XLR outputs A / B.In addition, I would not recommend the PHENYX PRO PTV 2000 system for an on the go type of system. This system would need to be a stationary type of system. The recommendation for this reasons is for the very thin antennas. You need to be careful when installing and extending the very thin antennas on the PHENYX PRO PTV 2000. I believe if utilized outside of a stationary venue you will run the risk of bending or breakin.

First lets start with the price. You can not find a 4 microphone wireless unit better in this price range. The sounds quality is clean and natural sounding. Usually mics at this price range would sound hollow. The other impressive thing is the range. Now keep in mind its VHF so getting clean sound at 100 feet (tested personally) is pretty good.A little back ground on me. I am a full time entertainer and sound engineer. So I've had experience with the best and the worst equipment in my 30 plus years.What I dont like about this set. The microphones are very light. So it feels like a toy (in my opinion) Also in my line of work I need UHF and to be able to select channels because of the size of the crowd and the amount of device interference (cell phones, watches, etc)Final thoughtsIf you need multiple wireless microphones for karaoke or a small performance (less than 30 people) You will not be disappointed.

Phenyx Pro PTV-20004 Channel VHF Fixed Frequency Wireless Microphone SystemAt the price point, one can be a little worried, however when I opened the box I was very surprised. The Receiver box is heavy, made well with steel construction. It is fixed frequencies, so there is no scanning. You cannot choose frequencies, you get what you get. There is a volume knob for each microphone. The microphones are plastic and very light. I would be a bit worried if one was dropped that it may break.After testing I was impressed by the sound quality. They sounded very good for the plastic bodies. I was able to get a fair distance away, but as soon as I turned a corner outside my house, the signal did get a bit static and dropped. I was about 100ft away with my house in-between the receiver box and the microphone. As soon as I came back around the corner, the signal picked up again.Pros? Cheap - Great starter Microphone system? Sturdy Receiver Box? Good sound qualityCons? Plastic microphones could break if dropped? Fixed FrequenciesI would not recommend this for Mobile DJ’s, bands or entertainers that move around from place to place where frequencies vary from location to location. You would need a scan able system for those types of jobs.This would be an excellent Microphone system for a fixed install like a small bar, small church, school or small conference room. It would also be a good at home system for home karaoke or entertaining. It could be used as a Mobile Karaoke hosts microphone set for singers, although with the fixed frequencies you may run into issues, but on the VHF frequencies, that may not be an issue.Overall a great starter microphone system for the beginner, at home enthusiast or a small install.

We use quite a bit of Pheynx Pro equipment in ears monitors, PTU-1U and the 2U as well. We added these for our talk back system for our Sunday morning worship experience. This was so nice to have all of our musicians be able to talk with out yelling across the stage and being able to communicate in the moment.Well built receiver like all of there stuff super heavy duty. The only draw back is the mics feel very cheap plastic. Never had an issue with interference from the other wireless frequencies with our line 6 and other brands. Definitely enjoying a cast effective unit,

As Karaoke hosts 4 nights a week we were very skeptical on $119 4 mic system from Pheynx Pro PTV-2000. Surprisingly, they actually are pretty good mics. They are easily better than most mics that private karaoke rooms provide. They would be perfect for Karaoke for "fun" house parties, backyard karaoke sessions and even school classroom karaoke. We intend to use them for our Karaoke System that we rent out. They are extremely easy to set up as it has only 2 xlr outputs, so you set the levels on the mixing board at 12p and control the mic volumes from the mic receiver. The mic body's are plastic and there is no low battery indicator or display on the mic. It's very minimalistic but delivers just fine on sound quality. We use the Ptu-1U and ptu 7000 in our professional set ups but wouldn't hesitate to suggest this mic system for the right application. Nice job on an affordable system with decent range 200 ft, and easy volume control!

First off all I have to say is WOW. These mics are fantastic and sound just as good as the major brands and I have and tried several brands and I can say these can hold their own. The quality of the build is good. The receiver is built tough. All metal construction. The mics are made of plastic but for the price point it’s what to expect. I used them at my DJ gig and they didn’t disappoint. People were doing karaoke and never lose signal once. The sound was clear and the mics were very responsive. The only draw back that they didn’t get 5 stars are the receiver antennas. I can see them breaking quickly if you’re a bit rough with them. I would like to see them put antennas like the higher systems they offer. Other than that you can go wrong with these mics.

The Phenyx Pro PTV-2000A is a good microphone for the price.The audio quality coming from the microphone isn't the worst but it is not as good as the gemini. The quality of the microphone itself is not bad, but it is made from a lighter type of plastic. I would not recommend using this microphone for kids or people that drop microphones frequently. The setup process was very easy. You simply take it out of the package. Plug in the power cable and plug the 1/4 cord into the mixer and adjust the volume to your liking. The microphones automatically pair to the receiver. The only problem that I experienced was the microphones were cutting in and out even though we were close to the receiver. Other than that I haven’t had any problems. Overall the PTV-2000A is a good quality microphone for the price. If you are looking for a microphone with a better audio quality and a better build quality for a good price I do recommend the Phenyx Pro PDP-2.
