PDP-1-1B | Single Digital Portable Wireless Microphone System

Purchased in Nov. 2024. It is now Feb. 2026, for the past month the unit is not maintaining the charge for more than an hour. There is also feedback if I’m standing too close to my AltoBusker PA speaker. Overall, it has clear sound and amazing range. I’m disappointed that it’s not holding the charge.

Absolutely 5 stars for the price! I am a wedding DJ in Colorado and have found absolute confidence in using this lapel for officiants! You do want to have a direct line of site, but I have yet to experience any drop outs even with 80+ people between! The auto switching channel makes it easy to keep the receiver and transmitter on the same channel! USB-C charging makes it easy to charge! The only downside for me, is it does not properly fit into my Denon prime 4+. This is due to the back of the prime unit not being flush. Phenyx does include an adapter, but I will need an extender to use it with the prime.Great build quality and stylish look! The box fits in your center console! If you’re looking for a quick and easy, yet reliable lapel option, look no further!Are there better out there? Yes, even Phenyx Pro has “better” options, however this unit does exactly what it’s advertised to do, at a VERY attractive price point!It comes with a clip on and over the ear mic option.

I am surprised with the quality of this product, it is heard very strongly, although it is not so expensive for the functionality it makes it is perfect and that is the best

Priced under $60 this unit is affordable for anyone needing a handsfree Mic Unit.This unit came very well packaged with everything easy to get to and set up.It comes with a 1/4 inch plug in receiver, body pack and 2 microphone choices, headset and lapel. These units are very well made of metal and a good weight.The beauty of this unit is, it is rechargeable, no need to keep buying batteries with this unit.Once plates in its very easy yo get your channel set on the unit and start using. It has a very good sound quality with both microphone choices, I prefer the headset as it has less wind noise or extra sound coming from bumping it or clothes brushing it. The headset set could be using for singing where your hands need to be free such as drummers, piano players, or basically any instrumentalist, dancers such as in musicals, or the actors in plays. So in other words it is very versatile.I would highly recommend this unit especially for DJ’s needing something for weddings, traveling preachers wanting their own headset mic, churches with limit space in the sound room, schools needing headset mics for speakers in large groups settings. And of course any theatre where ease of set of for performers is needed.Only negative is the booklet in the Bo’s with instructions and information is very small and extremely hard to read.Overall rating of a 8.5 out of 10.

Great product in Sound and Quality for the price. My use is for You Tube Videos. Short learning curve. For most recording equipment (Video Camcorders) you will need to use a mixer. This will allow you to produce better sound quality and eliminate picking up breathing sounds when speaking. Photo attached of a general mixer. As a mobile DJ , I keep looking for a lapel mic that is 1. Affordable 2. Easy to bring and not take lot of space in my bag 3. Convenient 4. Get the job done. Well this little piece of equipment just blew me away, I have to admit - it works very great. Over the weekend I had an outdoor wedding and I pair it with my Bose S 1 Pro, it was very windy and that lapel mic holds it own. I was surprise that it actually pick up the Bride and Groom while they did there vows , that is a PLUS +10 . I hope it continues to work for more wedding and I can charge a little extra now for that , before I would offer only a wireless mic.

The PDP-1-1B, thumbs up on this one. Love the fact that it was very easy to plug in n go. Used it last weekend for rehearsal & Sunday church. Didn't get to test the range since I just plugged it into the direct box of my wired piano mic. I used, of course, the headworn mic of it. I do like the goose neck style of the mic. We had the countryman before where it gets all mangled the more you use it and twist it around. I think my favorite part of this wireless system, is that the receiver is just a plug smaller than your hand. It's very portable. This definitely gonna go to my mobile system.

Fantastic product for the price. Exceptional build quality and long battery life. I have been using this wireless microphone in a church setting at least once a week for the past 2 months mounted on my music stand to amplify my acoustic mandolin. Sound quality is great in that environment.Pros: Build quality, battery life, volume and sound quality, USB-C charging ports, battery level on transmitter, no interference, easy to read display. The microphone cable connection to the transmitter is perfect! Microphone is incredibly sensitive and picks up sound very well. (I only tested the clip-on mic and not the headset mic.)Cons: Power button, mute, and channel buttons are too close together. Too easy to power off the unit or change channel when trying to mute the microphone. (I think the channel button should be on the bottom and small because channels are not something I change on a regular basis. The power button should be on the top, and only the mute button on the side.) Receiver should have a better indicator for battery charge level. There is no volume control but this is not that important as I control volume on the mixer panel. That said, making a small quick adjustment on the transmitter is not possible.Bottom line: Great portable microphone if remote volume control is not needed and one is careful about the buttons being pressed. Great purchase.

Used this digital wireless system with my USB audio interface for my Windows computer. Was using a condenser wired mic on a desktop stand, but this now gives me more flexibility when recording. I can use the lapel mic or the headset mic (both included). The bobypack and receiver both have rechargeable batteries built-in, eliminating the need for AA batteries. I can use this setup with a laptop when offsite or traveling, making it very lightweight and completely cordless.

As our band continues to explore new wireless solutions for performances and events and ultimately cutting the cord, we recently added the Phenyx Pro PDP-1B, to our lineup.First Impressions and Packaging as seen in the pictures : I don’t know maybe it’s just me. I think I’ve mentioned this elsewhere, but I really like their packaging. Out of the box, I was impressed by the build of the mics and the receiver. They are pretty solid.It was easy to set up after a quick charge. You could see in the picture you simply plug the receiver it into a quarter inch jack on the soundboard.I’d say one thing that is still to be determined is the battery life. One of the things I like most about the Phenyx Pro IEM’s ( PTM-33 and PTM-10 ) is that the body packs take AA batteries and we can switch them on the fly if needed during a gig.This has the convenience of a dual USB-C charging cord, but I don’t know what the battery length is as I have not tested it to failure yet.Although we would typically not use this this microphone during a gig for vocals.I did test it and did not have any interference with all of the other devices in our bands gear. We’ve incorporated several other Phenyx Pro devices into our setup, including our PTM-33 and PTM-10 in-ear monitors, and the PDP-G wireless guitar system. Even with all these devices running, there was no noticeable interference.My PA system often gets used at local sporting events and charity events, for announcers, guest speakers, and field announcements and speeches. So I’m looking forward to replacing hardwired microphones and other wireless clunky microphones with the lapel mic. It will be a much classier presentation.During initial tests, the system maintained a good connection up to about 100 feet away, which gives me confidence for these kinds of events. So I am confident, I will not have any issues for my type of usage.As mentioned earlier charging this system has been convenient. Both the receiver and body pack charge fully using t.

I had the opportunity to use the Phoenix pro PDP – 1–1B. This unit performed beyond my expectation, especially for the pricing point. Tone quality is good on the headset mic. The clip on has a problem frequency around 7K which is normal for most clip on mics. The other thing is, there’s no batteries. The unit has a rechargeable internal battery. Overall I think this is a great product and well worth the money

I had no trouble setting this up, plugged in the receiver and headset, turned them on and I was up and running. Worked right out of the box but it's recommended that you fully charge both pieces before use. The pic shows that I preferred "line" instead of "mic" on the mixer for better gain control, and it also shows a little tweaking on the high end eq settings. Another inexpensive good product by Phenyx Pro!

This is really simple to set up and use. Sounds crisp and clear. I used it at around 100 ft away and it performed perfectly. It's very compact and portable with one receiver and one transmitter. I love the one tap frequency frequency selector. It came with a dual type C charger so you can charge both receiver and transmitter at the same time and it lasted through a 4 hour show with no sign of the battery going dead. I also tried it with my other UHF systems and got no interference. Overall it's a great value

So last time I reviewed the PTV-1. This time around I'm bringing you my thoughts on the PDP-1-1B. Right out the gate I loved that this was USB C chargeable on both the transmitter and receiver. Hands down that is an A++ selling point. In 2024 wireless units should be USB C connection and USB C rechargeable. Batteries shouldn't be a thing on PRO WIRELESS AUDIO GEAR that is my opinion. This runs in the 900MHz range like my PTM10 so I had no issues with interference or drop outs while testing. The lav & the headset were the exact same as what came with the PTV-1 but the audio signal that I was able to record into my interface was cleaner even with compression. Slight digital distortion or artifacts, but that is to be expected with a headset and a lav at this price point. It was still a cleaner and crisper signal than with the VHF signal version and definitely usable for a live musical application in a bar or small venue type situation.

For me this wireless mic has been the easiest to setup. It’s essentially plug n play as long as you’re only running one of these systems. Otherwise, you have to set the channels.It’s rechargeable and comes with 2 attachments to fit any need. Although I’d prefer a 1/4 to XLR adapter but that’s just me ??.One thing I immediately noticed was that the actual mic capsule is smaller on these than the mics Ive received with the PTU 7000 series. Didn’t seem to affect the quality of sound as it was as crystal clear as ever. It definitely looks more sleek.The build of the transmitter and receiver is great.Both pieces have some weight to them and feel very very sturdy. I’m sure they could handle some accidental drops.As mentioned before, the sound quality was very crisp. No hiss, no pops, no interference.I setup a PA in my backyard and brought the mic to the front of my house and didn’t have any connectivity issues.In a nutshell, this is a great option for anyone looking for a simple wireless setup. Super easy to use, sound and range are great AND it’s rechargeable.
