PTU-7000-2H2B | Quad UHF Wireless Microphone System w/ Auto-Scan

I got this unit in a few weeks back and have just been so busy I haven’t had a chance to use it. BUT today I was able to hook it up and it absolutely blew me away!! Everything you need to hook up and sing is in the box. With this unit you get 2 handhelds and 2 headsets. The PTU 7000 is absolutely work horse of a mic.. The handhelds are incredibly well made, and feel like a high end capsule. I walked around and never had any drop outs and the clarity was great! This will be a great addition to my rack and will definitely get plenty of use.. The headset mics worked great as well. Like most all headset mics you are going to have the noise from breathing, but after a little eq’n I was able to get it pretty clear. I highly recommend this unit to anyone regardless of your budget that is looking for wireless microphones for your church, band, sound rig, etc. You not be disappointed with the Phenyx Pro PTU 7000. I look forward to a long business relationship with Phenyx Pro..

Microphone functions exactly as it should, ease of use is awesome! It feels good, weight is great. Comes with all the extras and it looks good. The range is equal to or better than any other similar wireless on the market. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a good replacement or first wireless setup. Has convenient functions like auto scan for finding free channel frequency and that makes it a breeze for any room.

I have 2 of the PTU-7000 series in my go to rig. The bottom one is currently all handheld mics, and the top unit is programmed for 2 handhelds and 2 bodypacks. One of the great things about these systems is that it takes less than a minute to pair a new handheld or bodypack. I'm def a fan of the Phenyx stuff. Someone is finally making a reliable and affordable wireless mic system that sounds great! I'll be looking to add the antenna combiner soon to clean up my setup. Great product!

These mics are absolute game-changers for my karaoke show! They're well-built, sound incredible, fit in my rack case and have some awesome features that make running my shows so much easier.The build quality is top-notch. These mics are solid and can handle the energy of a lively karaoke night without a problem.These mics sound great! They are up there with my Shure and Synheiser mics at an incredible price! The vocals come through crystal clear and powerful, giving our performances that extra oomph.One feature I love is the mute function. It's a total time-saver. I can keep the mics powered on and quickly make announcements without having to run back to the mixer. It keeps the show flowing smoothly and eliminates any unnecessary hassle.

I was fortunate enough to receive the PTU 7000 2H 2B (2 handhelds 2 body packs) to test. I already had a PTU 7000 4B (4 body packs).It’s almost like Phenyx pro knew I was in the market for a second unit. The only difference between the 2 is the Mic options. This is a review of both units.First impressions:I got to experience both the older packaging and the newer packaging. The newer packaging is definitely more slim and compact which is nice.Everything is packed neatly and you get batteries too. Handheld mics and receiver have a very nice solid feel to them. I imagine the handhelds can take a beating. The body packs however are pure plastic and feel light even with batteries in. The wires for the lapel mics feel a bit thin.Setup:Setup is a breeze. The autoscan feature is awesome. The IR sync works like a charm.The hardest part is installing the antennas.Functionality:We have a mobile setup. We play all types of venues at all sizes.The quality of the sound and signal is way better than I expected. There have been a few instances where a channel will crackle a little due to interference. I usually catch this during a quick sound check and a channel autoscan solves it. I wish there was an easier way to tell which channel has the interference but we make do. Overall the system has performed great in live settings. Attached is a clip of a song we recently rehearsed. All instruments were recorded with lapel mics and voice with the handheld. Total 7 mics. Recording came straight from the mixer. Sound quality is very crisp and clear.Quality and Customer Service:The first unit I bought had a bad receiver.Shortly after that 2 lapel mics died. It was unfortunate BUT Phenyx Pro really shined in their customer service. Within a day of reporting the issues, they sent me replacements. Everything arrived quickly and I haven’t had any more issues with any of the gear.We’ve dropped a body pack here and there and even though they’re plastic, they’re still going strong. Handheld mics.

TL;DR: Worth every pennyI purchased the Phenyx Pro PTU-7000 Quad Channel Wireless Microphone System to augment my existing live sound rig with 4 additional microphone channels. Setting up the system was incredibly easy; I simply used XLR cables to connect the output of each channel to spare inputs on my system and plugged in the power.In terms of sound quality, the Phenyx Pro PTU-7000 delivers solid performance suitable for live sound applications. The handheld microphones sound clear and offer plenty of gain, however, there is noticeable handling noise when holding the mics. The body packs and headset mics sound good as well, however breath noise and plosives are very audible, so careful mic placement is important. Also, the unit itself has a relatively high noise floor, resulting in some hiss/pink noise when everything is quiet; this issue can easily be mitigated with a gate on the channels, but it is something to be aware of.One significant drawback I encountered was with the design of the unit itself. The screws in the bottom of the unit do not sit flush, making it very difficult to mount in a rack with other equipment. Additionally, these screws scratched the top of the unit directly below it.Despite these drawbacks, the Phenyx Pro PTU-7000 performed flawlessly while performing. It was easy to find open frequencies for each of the channels, and I did not experience any audio dropouts.In conclusion, I would recommend the Phenyx Pro PTU-7000 Quad Channel Wireless Microphone System without reservation. It offers solid performance and represents excellent value for the price.

I’m leaving 5 stars because the product works great for what I needed and the cost was reasonable. I needed this for a small webcast with multiple speakers. I was able to send the audio to the in-room system which sounded good with no dropouts or feedback. If you were to use it for music, I can’t really speak to the sound richness but for spoken voice it was great. Extremely easy to set up and portable enough to pack in a travel kit. The stick mics have a nice weight to them with a quality feel. The lav mics feel a little light and plastic but sounded fine. Overall, very happy with the purchase and would recommend.

This is a great product.It worked perfectly coming straight out of the box. I'm using this for a church setting, so it's very, very reliable. Sound is great.

We purchased this (and the 7000 unit with 4 handheld mics) to replace our corded mics for our worship services. The handheld mics are very solidly constructed (if even a bit heavy), and seem to work flawlessly. The body pack units were very "hot" or loud (not good or bad), and worked well. The setup was very easy, however we did have problems with the auto setup feature. Two of the mics would not automatically set to the channel on the receiver. We did notice that the UHF channels on the receiver have certain preset ranges so that first mic channel on the receive is channel 0 through 3, the second is 4 - 7, the third 8 - 11 , and the fourth 12 - 16. We also noticed the mics seem to have an affinity for each of the same channels, so my recommendation is to check all the default channels on the mics when you get them and then assign each mic to the channel on the receiver that has the closest channel range. I.e. if your mic is preset to channel 8-3, then use the third channel. If it is 12-2 then use the fourth for that mic. That should help the mics connect properly (although we still had one body pack that would not sync, and had to change the receiver to match the mic's channel to get it to connect, which is a flaw that could be a problem in the future if that channel experiences interference).Otherwise we ware very happy with the performance which is why I give this a 4 star rating. If they sync'd properly I would give it a five star rating.

I’m an active musician participating in 2 local area bands as well as an active sound engineer providing portable PA solutions for other local area bands, churches, and special events. I added the PTU-70004H (4 handheld mics) to my portable system almost 3 years ago after seeing a few youtube reviews. At the price, I felt comfortable taking a chance on a company I didn’t have any history with at the time. Because of that purchase, I have since converted all my wireless mics as well as in ear monitor solutions to Phenyx Pro products and I am very pleased with the value and performance they offer.I’m still using the original PTU-7000-4H system I purchased weekly and they have just continued to work flawlessly. Phenyx pro recently reached out and asked if I would be willing to review the 2 handheld and two body pack version of this system, the PTU-7000-2H-2B. I am pleased to say that this unit carries the same value and performance I’ve grown to expect from Phenyx Pro.Receiver:The 4 channel receiver is identical to my original PTU-7000-4H and performs just as well. This system offers 40 channels of wireless frequencies per mic channel as well as autoscan. I have been able to use this system in multiple venues from very small to very large without experiencing interference issues that couldn’t be resolved by simply scanning for a new channel group. Range is very good with a good line of sight to the antennas. I have had singers move more than 275 feet from the receiver without issue.Each channel has its own preamp volume control that does affect the sensitivity of the mic. Running this control too hot WILL make the mic much more sensitive and increase the handling noise of your handheld and headset mics. I have found that turning this dial to about ? up or 9 O'clock gives you a similar sensitivity to a wired dynamic mic. If you are running these mics into a sound console, I recommend you don’t turn these volume dials up above half way.Handheld mics:These mics sound gre.

I was a bit hesitant due to the cost for four channels with two battery packs and two cordless microphones. The sound was great into our PA system and was easy to set up. I will update this review if something develops but right now, well worth the cost as it is a quality product.

First, let me say if you're looking for a great mic system - this is it! The Phenyx Pro Quad Wireless Microphone System can handle your needs. I have over 40 years experience working with audio in church settings, school concerts, big band performances, and even in studio use - and this system is one of the best I've used for live performance! The receiver is solid - well made, ready to rack mount! Controls are easy to access and simple to use (you should read the easy to read owners manual). The handheld mics are solid with metal cases (not cheap plastic like some others) and feel great in the hand! The power switch works well and does not accidentally get "turned off". The sound quality of these mics compares with the big names (which I have used). The ability to use multiple systems with frequency scanning is great for future expansion if needed! Then there's the headsets - great flexibility! They are comfortable to wear and also produce a great sound! The can be used for a speaker (such as a church pastor), but also can be used as a vocal mic for a musician that sings (such as a guitar player - which is how I used it). I can honestly say I've used mics costing much more, but the Phenyx sounds just as good! My biggest complaint is I wish they offered an option of 1 headset with 3 handhelds - this would be perfect for many smaller churches (headset for the pastor and handhelds for the worship team)! Buy this system - you won't regret it!

This unit comes ready to go out of the box for bands, Karaoke, Churches, or any kind of public speaking. The sound quality rivals many much more expensive competitors. The units I received came paired out of the box. The handhelds were quiet even with multiple handling them in different ways. The headworn mics have Good clarity, and battery life was great. The only issue we had was a handheld dropout, but it was quickly resolved by reading the troubleshooting guide that came with the unit. I would recommend this package for anyone needing a quality Rack mountable wireless mic package. I tried to add pictures, but Phenyx pro would not allow access. I will try again.

Bought these for a school play, the mics kept cutting in and out which was embarrassing for the kiddos.

This is my third set of mic and receivers from Phenyx (I do sound design and stage production) and I literally can not help but be impressed from everything they put out.You guys are doing gods work while keeping these extremely affordable.Seriously amazing work.
