June 30 2025 update:Phenyx Pro saw my review and reached out to me and offered a replacement unit. Was not expecting that! The replacement unit was clean.I’ve updated my review due to their amazing customer service. Though I think the lapel mics are still not sensitive enough for their intended purpose, they work perfectly for me.May 14 2025: Needed something simple that could expand the mic inputs on my little Bose S1. This does exactly what I want.Function:This system is very simple.Plug it in, turn everything on.Every mic has a mute switch which is perfect.The sequence of the Mics on the receiver from left to right is: Handheld/BodyPk/Handheld/BodyPk.Green light on receiver means mic is connected.The 2 XLR outputs on the rear combine the channels in pairs. One is A/B the other is C/D.My only complaint is none of the mics have a battery indicator light that stays on.When you switch them on you get a quick flash of a red LED and that’s it.Sound:The handhelds have a bit of a low end boost, not too crazy. If it bothers you, run the mics through a mixer.The lapel and headset mics are a lot more balanced.However, the lapel microphones have to be very close to your source to pickup sound clearly. I wouldn’t use these as they’re intended. For me, I put a dead cat (wind muff) cover on them and drop them in the sound hole of a couple classical guitars. Works perfectly for that.The headsets though are perfect. Since the gooseneck allows the mic to sit right by the mouth, there’s no issues with volume.All in all this system is as straight forward as you can get without compromising too much.Docked 1 star due to:- lapel mics low sensitivity- there was rust on the battery contact springs on both handheld mics (see picture)- there was this fine black sand-like debris in all of the packaging. This and the rust makes me think that this system might have been sitting around for a long time. Hopefully it doesn’t affect its lifespan.

Good morning everyone. Today I will be reviewing the PTV-2000 4 Channel VHF Wireless System.Let me start by saying this is an entry level unit and not designed to be used professionally in a road gig situation. IMOAs always this unit came beautifully packaged with everything needed to set up and use. Yesterday we had an event for a memorial service and was able to use the lapel set up in this pack for the speakers. This unit worked beautifully with zero problems. We were outdoor and has no issues. While setting up we also used the handheld mics that are included. Those have a great sound , even comparable to my Sennheiser mice which are at a much higher price point. The clarity and fullness of sound was exceptional. They are very lightweight but with that there is a tendency to get a noise from them if you tap them of say if you were trying to clap and sing there would be a popping noise. For the price point of this setup you cant go wrong getting these for use in , churches, banquet halls, DJing, or corporate settings. on thing for me was the fact that it doesn't come with the hardware to set up in a rack systems, for DJ's and even churches this would help keep everything neat and accessible.I would definitely recommend this product needing a versatile unit for multifunctional uses.Phenyx Pro continues to impress with the level of functionality and quality they bring to every system they put out.4/5 Stars on this one

This is a great entry-level wireless microphone system for karaoke, DJs, parties, etc. This particular system comes with two handheld and two body pack microphones. Also included are two lapel mics and two headset mics for the body packs. The receiver has four fixed VHF channels, basically plug and play. The rear of the receiver has two antenna ports, two XLR balanced outputs, one TRS output and a power supply input. Two microphone channels are sent out each of the XLR outputs. Easy to use, compact for mobility, and affordable, what else is needed?

The use and ease of setup of the unit makes this an ultimate system for our church. The lower band use has less interference than many of the overcrowded higher bands. The uncomplicated setup where you are not required to select and match the frequency of microphone and receiver opens up the doors for use this system with our volunteers who may not have an indepth knowledge of how radio and audio systems work.The sound quality was crisp and clear with limited distortion from wind, giving us nearly the same quality of sound that we obtain with our engineered inhouse system.Presently we are using the PTV 2000B for our outdoor services (setup picture attached), but with the ease of use and setup we have already identified additional uses for meetings and facility rentals.

I got to test out this bad boy and I was honestly skeptical on how it would preform.I've used the PDP-2 and the PTU-2U which are a a higher caliper than this set so I wasn't expecting much. I will say I am actually quite impressed.The setup with this system is beyond simple and easy. Each microphone / mic pack is designated to one of the 4 lines. As you turn on each mic, the light that corresponds with it's channel will light up on the receiver.This is a VHF frequency set, so they are on fixed frequency and can't be changed.Packaging is generic, but overall nice. Comes iwth the instruction manual, warranty info, and excellent foam packaging for storing.Receiver is metal and feels great. The mic's feel cheap and are all plastic except for the grill - in comparison to others I've used from Phenyx Pro - but don't be fooled. These mics are VERY clear and have a solid connection. Bass is definitely present in the sound. And you do get a bit of handheld noise.Having the body packs is an added bonus. These are great for doing interviews or for livestream. Hookup to a camera from the received is a breeze and has a 1/4 to 3.5 adapter.Battery life is awesome. Used this for 4+ hours and didn’t skip a beat. There are no screens that aid in draining the battery so this should last a long time on fresh batteries.Antennas are basic metal, but adjustable rotation and extendable.If you're looking for a straightforward, lower cost wireless mic system, this is it.

These are quality microphones for the price! Much better than I anticipated. The headset microphones have a very good low end which was shocking to me. The range on them is great for any type of usage that you may have. I have purchased them anything from this company throughout the years and have yet to be disappointed!

Good unit, especially considering price. The packaging with phenyx pro is always very nice.The box will act as a case for the portable use of the unit. While this is not a pro unit, it performs pretty well.There is no crosstalk between the four channels and they performed for several meters outside of my steel shop which is always my test bed for products like this. It did not outperform or even catch up with any of my pro units, but it performed well again for its price range.

Would recommend these for DJ’s, worship service, teachers, speech teams or any public speaking applications. This is where they shine. Great value for this application.Not as great for singing. Higher volumes from singing compresses the input levels can cause loss of clarity and cause it to cut out intermittently.

This is a great system for the price. I really like the clean signal and clean sound of the mic element of the handheld mics. It is a really good sounding microphone. The body packs also transmit cleanly. The headsets and lav mics also have a great sound. The receiver has screw holes for mounting a rackmount kit (not included) which is always a plus.A few things to keep in mind for this system:Each mic has its own set frequency, so if you're getting interference or poor signal, you will not be able to change frequency to correct it, but the transmission seems to be solid and should not be a problem in most situations.There are no independent outputs for each channel. Channels A and B are summed to one XLR output while channels C and D are summed to the other XLR output. Or all 4 channels summed together in the 1/4" TS output. Each channel does have its own independent volume control. I found the A and B are one handheld on A and a bodypack on B and the same with C and D. I would prefer both handheld on A and B and both body packs on C and D so that you have the same type of microphones summed together to get the same mix on the sound console.The handheld mics have plastic housings, which does cause a bit of handling noise, but it's not excessive.Overall, a great system.

All of the Microphones are of good quality and connected with no issues. It is worth more than the price, I was able to walk outside of the building and still have a connection. The headpiece fit well. I would suggest adding a piece of cloth of form if worn for an extended period, the handhelds were not too heavy, overall, very happy with my purchase great for a church or a conference

i testes this unit out on a mobile rig that was used for a remote gig and again it performed better than the specs. the range and clarity are just beyond expectation.

I use this at church to broadcast Sunday School to people at home. We pass the microphones around the class to capture people's comments for people participating via Zoom. The receiver is connected to a mixer. The mixer is connected to the in house speakers and a laptop. This wireless system is one of three we use in our setup.The setup was simple and it worked right out of the box without any issues.What I like is that you get a compact, 4 mic system at a good price point.What's lacking is the build quality. The handheld mics are really light weight. The bodypacks are also a little flimsy.For the most part everything works well, but the transmission cuts out randomly--both with handhelds and bodypacks. I use this to augment my setup, but I can't rely on this for the main presenter.I also have a Phenyx Pro PTU-71, which is very reliable and has a noticeably better build quality.
