I recently put the PDP-2-1H1B wireless microphone through its paces on a demanding, week-long tour across the Pacific Northwest, and overall, I'm highly impressed with its performance. As a hip-hop artist, having a reliable microphone that can handle dynamic vocals and stage presence is crucial, and the PDP-2-1H1B proved to be a reliable workhorse. The sound reproduction was consistently rich and clear, capturing my vocals with impressive fidelity and punch – essential for hip-hop performances. Its sturdy construction gave me confidence that it could withstand the rigors of frequent travel and setup.There was only one instance during the entire tour where the microphone's performance faltered. For reasons I couldn't ascertain at the time, the audio dropped out or became inconsistent during a particular segment. While this was a minor blip in an otherwise flawless run, it's worth noting. However, given its exceptional performance in every other scenario, I'm inclined to believe this was an isolated incident rather than a systemic flaw.Despite that single anomaly, the PDP-2-1H1B consistently delivered professional-grade results. For fellow hip-hop artists, musicians, presenters, or anyone needing a reliable wireless microphone for touring or regular use, this model offers excellent value. I'm confidently giving it a four-star rating and would highly recommend it for its strong audio performance and durable design.

I got to try this out for a graduation event and it did a fantastic job. The small size of the receiver is perfect for smaller events and the rechargeable feature it top notch. I was getting compliments for the sound quality. This company is always putting out great products. I recommend this mic system to anyone looking for quality and portability.

Hands down the best plug n play system on the market. You get 1 body pack and 1 handheld microphone. Both run simultaneously to 1 receiver.I’ve used other wireless systems similar to this but the mics always have low gain.Not this one.Check out the pic. Channel 1 is running a Shure SM58 using the stock Bose wireless transmitter.Channel 2 is this Phenyx Pro system. The levels set produce the same loudness. The gain on the Shure Mic has to be turned up significantly to match the Phenyx Pro system.Through the Bose S1 there was no noticeable difference in sound quality between the Shure and Phenyx Pro mic. The lav mic does sound a little bit “hollow” with voice but for my purpose it doesn’t matter. I use it as an instrument mic for an acoustic bass. For vocals though, an EQ would solve this in a snap.As far as build, the receiver and the body pack have a metal housing. Both feel sturdy.The handheld is a bit light, but sure that it would survive a drop from a stand. But we will see.Either way I’ll be using these as much as I can.

I was given the opportunity to test and review the PDP-2-1H1B, if you’re in the need for a handheld and headset mic for a speaking engagement or even a live musical performance, then this is a simple solution that simply works.I direct a 20-piece big-band jazz band. I used the handheld mic for an hour and the headset/bodypack for the second hour of a 2-hour rehearsal. Both mics performed flawlessly and worked right out of the box.What’s In the Box:The PDP-2-1H1B comes with everything you need to simply plug-in and go. The system comes in a nice, organized box with foam inserts to keep everything in place. You can use the box as a case if needed. The system comes with:1 handheld mic (Transmitter) made out of metal, and feels very nice in your hand.1 Bodypack (Transmitter) that supports the included headset mic and lapel mic1 1/4-inch Receiver that plugs into a line port on your mixer or powered speaker.1 ? inch L shaped adaptor1 1/8 adapter1 Wind Guard2 AA BatteriesQuality of Product:Typically for this price level, you’d expect to see a low-quality product made of plastic. That is not the case with the PDP-2. The Handheld Mic, bodypack and Receiver are made out of metal. They have some weight to them and the mic feels great to hold. As with all Phenyx products I’ve tried, the antennas on the Receiver and Bodypack are quite thin and seem like if something was going to break, it would be that.Testing the Product:As mentioned I lead a 20-piece big band, it’s quite a large group to rehearse. I used the handheld mic to speak to the band between songs and give instructions. The band seemed to hear me quite well. I also had our vocalist use the handheld mic for two songs and the mic worked fine. The tone quality was acceptable. For the 2nd half of rehearsal, I tried the bodypack and headset. Again, no issue, the bodypack worked as expecte.Overall Experience:Overall I’m very impressed with the quality of the product. I think Phenyx did a nice job in the build of the handhel.

Great mic for quick portable setup. Simple and easy. Great range and options. Handheld, lapel or head worn all in one small package. USB charging cable has not usb and usb-c options. Also works great as a talkback. Great value all around.

First off let me start off with I love these mics. I love the fact that the handheld and the lav mics are made of metal instead of plastic. The receiver works very well. They have great battery life so far. These are going to be a great addition to my ceremony system.

This microphone was designed for the "small-scale indoor and outdoor performance" and it does just that. I have used it for three outdoor events and one library teaching workshop and it was just what I needed. Good tone, no cut-outs or drops, economical, and convenient. I plan to buy a second one for my duo partner.

The PDP-2-1H1B wireless microphone system is amazing for the price. For $80, you get a handheld microphone, a bodypack transmitter, a receiver, a lavalier microphone AND a headset to use with the bodypack, 2 AA batteries, 2 audio adapters, windscreens for all 3 microphones, and a usb c cable that can charge the receiver and bodypack at the same time. If I had no experience with Phenyx Pro, my first reaction would be that the products must be junk in order for them to be so inexpensive. However, that is definitely not the case. The build quality feels good and sound quality is good as well. My church was able to use this product at a youth camp recently, and it performed very well!This product operates in the 900MHz range. This is great because you don't have to worry about interference from wifi or other 2.4GHz wireless devices. It's possible you could still get interference in the 900MHz range, but there aren't as many devices out there that are operating in that range. The handheld receiver has 15 frequencies (channels 1-15) and the Bodypack has 15 separate frequencies (channels 16-30). Changing channels is super simple. On the bodypack, all you have to do is press the channel button. The receiver automatically switches to the new channel! For the handheld microphone, you have to unscrew the battery compartment to access the channel button. But, again, all you have to do is push the channel button to change the channel and the receiver automatically follows. I like that you can charge the bodypack and the receiver at the same time with the included double USB-C cable. It was a little hard for me to get rechargeable AA batteries out of the handheld transmitter, but maybe it will get a little easier over time.The fact that there is only one receiver for two microphones is awesome! At the youth camp, we used a battery-powered speaker that only has two inputs. With the PDP-2-1H1B we were able to use the lavalier mic, the handheld, and a plug a guitar into the speaker.

Me gustó que incluyan un set de baterías AA para el micrófono de mano. Con este sistema de micrófonos mi sistema de sonido es 100% inalámbrico ya que el PA system utiliza batería lo que me proporciona versatilidad para en cuando lo utilizo para conferencias en mi oficina sin tener ningún cable.El soporte técnico es muy bueno ya que me resolvieron todas las dudas cuando los contacté en su página webUna desventaja que encontré es que no se tiene control de volumen para cada uno de los micrófonos por separado.Algo con lo que me topé es que el clip para el micrófono lavalier se encontraba atorado y no era posible abrirlo para poder ponerlo en la solapa de la camisa, fuera de esto, el sistema de micrófonos me ha funcionado de maravilla.Actualización (3-Jul-24): Después de contactar a soporte técnico y comentarles sobre el problema del clip del micrófono, me enviaron un lavalier de reemplazo haciendo honor a la garantía, excelente servicio y atención al cliente, 100% recomendables!!

I recently received the Phenyx Pro PDP-2-H1-B1. It is a fantastic handheld mic with a body pack that can use a lavalier mic or a headset mic (both of which are provided with this set).This PDP line from Phenyx Pro is so easy to use and setup. Simply charge the receiver and plug it into a mixer or powered speaker using the 1/4” unbalanced plug. The both transmitters are already connected and ready to use. The sound quality on the hand held mic is great. I only tested it out to around 150’ with no dropouts or static, I’m sure it will reach much further than that. The lavelier mic had some wind noise but still sounded pretty good for being outdoors. We were only about 50’ away from the receiver and had no dropouts or interference. I haven’t had the opportunity to test the headset but I expect it to perform very similarly to the lavelier. The build quality of these microphones are great. The handheld, the body pack and the receiver are all made of quality metal material and are built to last. In my honest opinion these microphones are built as well as the more expensive brands and sound just as good or better. I have been very pleased with these products so far.If you are a DJ that does weddings these are perfect. This would be a great option for churches and karaoke hosts. I definitely would recommend them to anyone!

All in all, this is a good setup if you plan on teaching in a large space and need something mobile. I found the hand mic and the headset to deliver very good sound and have no complaints about them. It could also be good for music/karaoke, but that might not be my first choice for it.The lapel mic could have been tuned better, though. The gain on it is set so much higher than the other two that, at the same volume level, the sound is distorted and easily gives off feedback. My impression is that they boosted the sound on it to work so that you could put it under a tie or clothing and still get a clear sound. However, the difference is so great that I don't think you can use it at the same time as someone else on the hand mic, which would be frustrating if you wanted to interview or interact with someone on the same receiver. You would have to use the headset mic, which may not be everyone's style. Still, the headset mic is at the same level as the hand mic, and I can use those together without any issue.Overall, it's a good set with a few quirks. Maybe I just got a unit that is a little janky.
