The Phenyx Pro PTC-4 system works exactly as advertised. Setup was quick with auto-scan, the UHF signal is stable, and the gooseneck microphones sound clear and professional. Having four channels is perfect for lectures, church services, and panel discussions. Solid build quality and reliable performance for the price. Highly recommended for public speaking environments. The mics run off of 2 double A batteries and I used generics and they had plenty of life.

This system was everything I hoped it would be. I do a podcast with a varying number of guests. I don't always have enough mics for everyone. In comes the PTC-4 to save the day. I can set these 4 mics up and catch everyone with no problem. In fact I even had to turn the volume down on each mic because how well they pick everything up. If you're in need of podium mic or an outside of the box podcast solution or anything in between. Definitely gives these a try!

These Phenyx Pro conference microphones are almost really good, but still fall short of being pro quality gear. For most applications they are acceptable but for critical work where absolute clarity and reception is necessary, you will get mixed results.Seems like all the Phenyx Pro wireless models are prone to short dropouts which make audible popping and static noises which are very evident over a PA or in a recording. Scanning for best frequencies seems to help, until it doesn't. Even at short range within a conference room I have experienced these dropouts. The sound quality is good from the microphones themselves and can be EQ'd to sound fine for all applications. The functions and ease of setup are also very good.There is a slight noise floor on the output side from the receiver, which also can be reduced with some good pinpoint EQ.Can't beat the price, of course but you aren't getting true pro equipment.

I love these mics, I used these at a corporate AV job. I had a speaker on a podium and had one of these setup on the podium for the speaker and it worked great. No drop offs and the sound quality was great!

First off all, it sounds great, it’s a great price, it’s durable, feels professional, just wonderful. The one complaint would be the mute button on the mics is made with plastic, so when clicked the sound is heavily heard back at the receivers. Otherwise sounds clear and would recommend to anyone looking for a podium style mic!

Haven't used it yet, in live gig, however, seems to be of much better quality, than unit in this price range.much easier to use & set up.Highly recommended...

I like that the gooseneck microphones are also mostly metal. Although the transmitter bases are plastic they still have decent weight to them and have a quality look and feel too them.DesignI was intrigued when I saw the microphone without the wind screen. It has the appearance of a shotgun microphone. Nothing really tells you what style of microphones these are. Based on The different styles of microphones I've learned of, they seem to be unidirectional. There are also a couple of points where the body of the microphone can unscrew. I'm curious to know the purpose of that feature. It seems that the microphone does not come apart. I discovered wires that seemingly keep everything together and working. The light to show when the mic is active or muted can prove helpful to the person helping with audio. Also having the battery indicator, signal information, etc. on the receiver is helpful as well. I'm curious about the very audible click when you're using the single button for muting and unmuting the microphone. It could be undesirable in certain settings, but also useful in others.FeaturesI appreciate the list of features! I prefer UHF for the quality of it's transmission. I'm curious if this is digital or analog. It is very good that there are four groups of 50 frequencies. I'm appreciative of the auto-scan and how up to three receivers and transmitter groups can be used. The auto scan seems to work well and it's fairly simple to use. There is an ability to manually select the frequency as well. IR Sync is fast and simple as well. I actually turned on several UHF microphones at the same time to test the theory of using multiple systems at once. Using a PTU-52, PTAU-2, and all four of the PTC-4 mics, I didn't have any issues of inter.

Used this system for some meetings and a press conference, had no issues. Sound is clear (little interference if the base is placed in low position, in other words no line of sight) and setting up is easy. However, the mic sponge cover tears very easy, so becareful when putting it on the mics. I hope the manufacturer can make them with more mics, let's say 8, 12, 16 maximum as it's more designed for small sessions.

Each transmitter has a suitably weighted base that the high-sensitivity gooseneck microphone tightly attaches to that that keeps it perfectly in place. The mute/ power button is conveniently placed, and the mute indicator is easily seen (by everyone) so that the speaker knows if they have muted their mic. The system has been specially tuned so that it reproduces the natural voice of the speaker and helps reduce listener fatigue. The mics are quite directional. They also had quite a decent pickup distance. (One of our participants was routinely 8-10 inches away with no issues). During setup, one of our guys walked up to the mains, facing them, while talking on the mic with no feedback. The mics look fantastic. The windscreens definitely prevent any plosives you might get. The mute/on light is a glowing ring at the bottom of the windscreen, so you can see it from wherever you may be mixing from, and the speaker definitely can. Like I said earlier, so can everyone else. Green is on and a dim red for mute. Battery life seemed great. We got several hours without failure. I change batteries daily, so the best I can offer is more than 6 hours.For the the receiver their are 50 UHF frequencies per microphone, which ensures a stable and interference-free signal, even in environments saturated with wireless devices. Everyone was pleased with the ease of use and the sound reproduction of the units at the conference. We will be using them again.

Great system. I have been using it for ELT meetings at my workplace and the results have been amazing. The system they have installed does not really work that well so I took matters into my own hands and figured out a way to make them sound much better than anything else that they have tried before. These are not super expensive but not cheap, and the quality of Phenyx is very good.

The build quality feels very solid and durable. With regards to sound, I feel like the EQ tuning does favor vocal clarity, which is nice for any spoken word application! It comes with foam windscreens that really help eliminate some of those annoying plosives. I use it at around 80 feet to 100 feet range, and it has been stable and consistent. It is very easy to mute and unmute sound just from the base. No issues thus far!

This conference system is very high quality and professional grade. It may take a bit of know how to use properly and set up, but the instructions are also great so perhaps anyone could get familiar with it. The audio quality is great and the options for routing and mixing the audio are plentiful. I really can't believe how inexpensive this kit is for what you get. It really is amazing and I don't think you'd be disappointed if you purchased this.

I love that the receiver has both a downmix and discreet outputs. This gives us the option to feed a PA directly while also being able to mix individual microphones for live output or recording when needed. I was a little skeptical as to how nice this would actually be before purchasing it because I had never heard of this brand before or known anything about these microphones, but I'm really glad that I gave it a shot because they are actually so nice.
