If you belong to a VERY SMALL church congregation, money is not plentiful, but you want to help mobilize the pastor and make his life better. Get this wireless microphone system and put a smile on his face! Great quality, excellent sound, great range, easy to operate. I cannot come up with even one negative comment. Fantastic price for the quality. My pastor was smiling a lot this morning after using this system.

In my review photo, you’ll see this little phenyx unit hiding atop the speaker. I’m a mobile DJ and this system has quickly become my go to for ceremonies. The included handheld and over the ear microphones are high quality in terms of sound and construction. The lapel microphone that’s included is quite the opposite- it was terrible but cheap to replace with one that sounded way better- I’m leaving the review 5 stars because the main functionality is great. The signal strength from the body pack allows for connectivity that I’ve pushed up to 100 feet in crowded rooms with no issue. The device is easy to use, a great portable size, the microphones look good and have great battery life… over all a great product that goes up right against shure and other systems.

Used two systems for a church fellowship hall. Very clear mics. No dead spots within the hall. Only thing my users miss is the auto shutdown after an unused amount of time.

The value for the money is there. The sound quality and range is great. The only problem I have and why I didn’t give it a 5 star is that the hand held is built solid and not plasticy like my shure next to it, it’s still picks up the noise from gripping the mic. So if you grab the shaft the noise is transferred through the mic.

This is a great entry-to-mid-tier wireless system with excellent reliability, clear sound, and no major dropouts reported in widespread use. The mute quirk is probably the biggest (and most common) downside for bodypack users who need fast, foolproof control—it's workable once you get used to it, but definitely not ideal compared to systems with dedicated mute switches. Perfect for a single performer, as can use the MIC and the body pack for your instrument.The one issue is that it's not a true dedicated one-click mute button (like some higher-end bodypacks have), and the behavior changes based on whether the unit has been idle, which can feel inconsistent or require explanation to new users/stage crew. The manual confirms: "Short press (tap) to mute the transmitter," but notes the power button also handles on/off (long press) and the screen/mute interaction. Some reviews and demo videos mention this quirk but note no audible pops/clicks when muting, which is a plus.If the muting workflow is a dealbreaker for your setup, you might look at slightly higher-tier options with more straightforward controls, but for most users, this unit punches well above its weight and delivers pro-level results on a budget. Solid recommendation overall!

This unit is the smaller version of the PTU-7000 series and its just the same as it! I love the microphones, and love the features of the unit! You cannot go wrong with the ability to auto-scan for the best frequencies. The ability to RF connect the mic to the unit is super easy! The amount of setup time that can save can be crucial! As long as the equipment is well taken care of you won't have any issues! I rarely get drops outs, and when I do it's because I am too far away or have too many people in the way and my antennas are too low.Microphone and body pack weight are very comfortable! Along with their ability to not consume all of your batter life throughout an event!The PTU-7000 and PTU-71 units are be far my favorite microphones systems Phenyx Pro has to offer. I am saying this however without trying their PTAU-2 units yet. That is next on my list.My only gripe yet is the body packs. They are fragile and if mishandled can break easily. The back clip and the battery cover are the weak points. I have had the opportunity to try their PWB-12 for the PTU-1U/2U and that body pack is a significant upgrade. It would be cool to see if that body pack could become compatible with other microphones receivers. With that being said though, if you can take care of the bodypacks compatible with the PTU-71 and PTU-7000 units, you will not be disappointed with the sound quality and lack of dropouts.

I spent $800 on a popular brand mic and I like this one better. I've been performing as a comic juggler/speaker for 3 decades. This wireless system is easy to set up. I select a new frequency at every location. Just push the buttons to easily select an open channel. I've received compliments as to how to good I sound. I even bought another one to keep in another show's set up.

I’ve had several Phenyx Pro products and I have to admit this is one of the best I’ve tried so far. Working with a lot of musicians who are often on a budget, the Phenyx gear seems to fit the bill. But I have seen many of them all trying to work in the crowded 900MHz range. So this one being in the 500MHz range helps this unit perform better around other devices.I was quite impressed by the handheld unit as well. Most of the shell is metal so when I picked it up, it actually felt like a wireless Shure 58. I have a ULXD system for comparison and this felt very similar to that. The handheld actually sounded very clean. The recessed power / mute button is an improvement over previous Phenyx handhelds. I use these systems for speeches and wedding ceremonies so handing a mic to someone who has never (or rarely uses) a mic can be a nightmare when they keep muting it. This system is almost impossible to accidentally mute so that’s an improvement.The belt pack is lightweight but that’s because it’s mostly plastic. The clip is really good but I almost worry that the strong tension of the clip might put strain on the plastic housing. I guess we’ll see how resilient it is over time.The headset mic sounds good but probably not good for a user who moves around a lot. For instance, if a fitness instructor were trying to use this headset, forget about it. It’s meant more for a more static person. The lapel mic is hot! Don’t let the user get anywhere near the PA. Ask me how I know!Overall, the biggest complaint would really be just the build quality of the body pack. If the pack were built as sturdy as the handheld, this system would be spectacular for the price. As long as you use it for the purposes it was designed, and don’t expect it to be as great as a $1300 Shure ULXD system, you’re going to like it. Good range, decent battery life, decent frequency bandwidth to find one that works, and a fantastic price for what you get. I’m actually going to get rid of the Shure BLX system.

Build is very solid, headset worked great for an outdoor wedding. Handheld mic sounds comparable to more expensive wired microphones (Senneheiser, Blue). Very happy with the performance of this product.

Ordered this before DJing my first wedding gig and wasn't sure if I wanted to do more, so went with these for the price point with the plan to upgrade later if I do more gigs. Wow am I glad that I started with these -- I have now used them for multiple events and they've been reliable, loud & clear, with no dropouts so far. This weekend I used them and got compliments from other DJs on the sound quality -- one of them owns the "top of the line" Shure mics and mentioned he thinks these sound better than Shure.I plan on keeping these as long as they'll last me, and sticking with this brand for future mic needs. Highly recommend!

We use these for our church services. No popping or hissing. Use the scan set up for the cleanest reception.

We had to replace a failed wireless mic for our VFW Post's bingo. This system has the added bonus that it has 2 distinct channels. Also the XLR balanced connection provides excellent quality to the broadcast signal. The unit comes with a lavalier and a headset adapter which please our callers. Also the provided stick mic enables me to make announcements without disturbing the caller. The price point is well below comparable systems offering the same quality.

Wow, this is def underpriced The sound quality is crisp my friend who is also a DJ thought that it was a shure mic system and when I told him that it was as a phenyl pro for under $200 he was amazed Used it for my DJ gigs Wednesdays and Fridays I can have my music going super loud and my dj monitor as well and it will not cause feedback AT all! The range is also super long I literally walk around the club with the mic and still sounds crisp and clear! I was skeptical at first but this mic system did not disappoint ??????????????????

Our church services moved into the air conditioned hall for the summer. We needed a way to mic our services without cables. Phenix to the rescue. Good sound.Good price. Will likely expand to a higher capacity (4) mic system next year.

It works well

Mobile DJ here. Going into my 4th decade. I've tried so many different wired/wireless microphone setups. Rented some of the most expensive you can imagine, and purchased my share at various price points, for different applications.My first Phenyx Pro purchase, after reading a LOT of reviews. Decided to pull the trigger. I can't say enough about how blown away I was with the sound/build quality of this product. Its every bit as good as the most expensive systems you'll find. Outkicking their coverage at this price point. Auto selects the best frequency to your location. Transmitter and receiver frequency changes are easy.One of the coolest things I like -- albeit a little one -- is the fact I can swap out the bodypack and the handheld on any channel. Previous systems I had 4 microphones, and they were each tethered to a specific channel. Also, I rarely need 2 bodypacks, but almost always need 2 handhelds. And they do sell one separately at a reasonable price.A very high quality, modular set that is easy for beginners, and robust enough for working pros.
