Solid Sound Quality That Doesn’t Break the BankI’ve been using these Pro Hybrid Dual Driver IEMs for a couple of weeks now, and I’m honestly really impressed. For the price point, the audio clarity is fantastic. You get a nice, crisp high end and a surprisingly punchy bass that doesn't muddy up the rest of the track. Whether I’m listening to my favorite playlist or jumping into a gaming session, the stereo imaging makes everything feel immersive and well-balanced.The build quality is another highlight. The earbuds feel substantial and comfortable enough for long listening sessions, and the noise isolation is surprisingly effective at blocking out ambient room noise. I also really appreciate the detachable 2-pin cable. It’s tangle-free and feels durable, so I don’t have to worry about the wires fraying after just a few months of use. It’s a huge step up from the standard earbuds that usually come with phones.Overall, these are a total win if you’re looking for high-quality audio without spending a fortune. They fit great great and were a fantastic deal. They feel professional enough for musicians or singers to use during practice, but they’re also just great for casual daily listening. If you’re on the fence about trying out IEMs but don't want to drop hundreds of dollars, these are definitely worth grabbing. I’m really happy with this purchase!
For the money these are a good set of IEMs and they are both comfortable and the sound quality is decent. These will still not beat over the ear headphones for overall depth of sound (or noise isolation) those can provide but as far as in ear headphones go these are easily one of the best sounding pairs of ear buds I've ever used. It is worth noting I do not own any super high end ear buds to compare these to, but these are certainly better than your run of the mill bluetooth buds. These are 107db sensitivity which means they can get LOUD - so loud in fact that a comfortable listening volume for me ranges between 7-15 out of 100 depending on what I'm listening to. 20 out of 100 would be "loud" for me and at 30 out of 100 it reaches levels that I would consider too loud for long periods of time - so to put it bluntly these can be VERY loud.Noise isolation is just so-so, these come with rubber ear buds and some foam ones as well but there is just not a lot of mass between your ear and the outside world so you can only expect so much. For example I can easily hear myself typing on a keyboard with these in and not playing anything.Sound quality is great, again I do not have any high end ear buds to compare to but these blow your basic blue tooth ear buds out of the water in both clarity and breadth. Out of the box these provide very crisp and bright sound quality but I still prefer my music to have a heavier bass curve. I was able to adjust the bass on the devices I've use these with to an acceptable level without issue but the "out of the box" bass still leaves something to be desired.
Most of my listening these days is through wireless earbuds, so switching back to a wired set felt a little old-school at first. The over-ear cable routing was especially different from what I'm used to, but after a day or two, I stopped noticing it.The fit ended up being one of my favorite things about these. The medium tips worked well for my ears right out of the box, and once they're in place, they stay put. I've had earbuds that constantly need adjusting, but these weren't one of them. Music was the first thing I tried. What stood out wasn't any one part of the sound, but how easy everything was to listen to. Bass has some weight, vocals come through clearly, and small details are easier to pick out than I expected at this price point. The sound isolation is also pretty good. I found myself listening at lower volumes because I wasn't competing with as much background noise. Build quality feels solid, too. The metal housings have a nice weight without feeling heavy, and the cable doesn't seem like the sort that will tangle into a knot every time it's put away. For under $100, these feel like a good entry point into IEMs. They don't come across as a budget compromise, and I've found myself reaching for them more often than some of the more expensive earbuds sitting on my desk.
So far these earbuds are working great. I used them on my pc with my presonus 96 audio interface acting as the DAC for them. So far they sound good and loud especially in games and have a good seal to cancel out outside noise from intruding with your listening. I knocked off one star because they are really tight in my ears which help with sealing but fatigue my ears faster than normal. Not sure if it was supposed to but mine didnt come with extra ear rubbers. Also the detachable cord is nice for storage/transport in the case but would have also been nice to have a longer cord.
I have been using these Earphones for a few weeks now, mainly for listening to music and pairing them with my mini portable guitar amp. The sound is for the most part flat, with no noticeable boost in bass, mids, or highs, just as it should be for a monitor. It delivers a clean passthrough of the source audio without coloring it, so any adjustments can be handled via an EQ on your phone or amp. This is exactly what I wanted, and the representation of the sound stays true without any distortion.Comfort is good enough that I can wear them for a few hours without discomfort. It comes with a 1/8" to 1/4" plug adapter and lots of different ear piece sizes that should make it fit nice and snug in your ears. The housing is part metal and feels like it should take a beating, while the cables are twisted almost like a rope yet seem very durable as well. Noise isolation is moderate since there is no active noise canceling, but a snug fit blocks a good amount of outside noise. One minor drawback is the two-prong plugs that connect to the earbuds themselves. They are removable, which is nice in case a cable needs replacing, but there were no directions for which was left or right, making it a little confusing at first. It is not a huge deal, though it does feel like a design oversight.Compared to my previous true monitors, which were the large over-ear kind that I still prefer at home, these are far more portable for on the go use. The sound quality is comparable overall. These are great entry level monitors for any music enthusiast. For the price they are a great deal, since dedicated headphone monitors can range into the hundreds of dollars. Definitely worth it.
These earphones have fantastic sound quality and are really comfortable to wear. They’re heavy and made of durable materials, have a braided metal cable so never have to worry about pinched or cut wires, and come with a carrying case (though I wish the case had a strap or carabiner clip to hang on to something). If the cable does somehow get damaged, it is removable and replaceable. The earbuds also come with a lot of spare tips of different sizes so you can use one that fits your ears. And they also threw in a 6.35mm adapter so you can jack directly into a guitar amp or wireless receiver. Would’ve been even better if they threw in a USB-C adapter for modern phones as well, but that’s not a deal breaker. I’ll just pick one up later.Music sounds phenomenal at any volume. There is no distortion at higher levels, and everything is crisp and clear.I would not recommend these for gaming though, as there is no spatial audio at all. I tried using them with a first-person shooter, and had no idea which direction gunfire or footsteps were coming from.Overall I think these are awesome earphones. For music purposes, they are really close to the quality of some higher end name brands, without the price tag.
Welcome, audio nerds! When I ordered these I was excited to find a nice pair of IEM's that didn't break the bank, but I didn't realize how good they'd be! Previously coming from mid/high end audio with separates and branching into the best Bluetooth earbuds, I wanted to get back to using a cord again. Glad I did!Presentation on this set is great, you get a little box with the carry case inbetween both earbuds. Inside the case you'll find the cord, and a host of earbud tips, both foam AND silicone! Super cool they include both. I like foam tips for sealing well but silicone for convenience, and I get to pick!First impressions after a few hours listening to my favorite songs: impressive. First of all, they're comfortable. I find some earbuds bother my ears, but the medium size they shipped with fit nicely and aren't pressing hard. The driver package fits in my ear well and having the wire over the ear is a new and welcome experience over wireless buds. The sound quality is great, I've had them in for a few hours, using them for music and gaming. The detail in the sound is great so far, from full, rich bass to the high tones, it's just pleasant. There's no fatiguing silibance and the bass doesn't distort even when turned up to reasonably loud levels. As for sound isolation, when I'm listening to any music at low to medium volume, there's nothing else. Sound isolation is great, and I just see mouthes moving, lol.I notice a light click/pop when inserting the earbuds, I believe that's normal for well sealed earbuds. I'm learning to give them a slow twist when inserting to avoid the pop sound of the driver getting pressurized. For the price, I'd definitely say $79.99 is a good value for these, I'm very happy with them so far and I'm going to get my old iPod going and start using my USB DAC with my phone more so I can avoid my wireless earbuds. I'm also planning on using these for recording music.I'll report back as these break in, get used on more devices, and get even better! So far they're pretty great and already an easy 5-stars.
Great in-ears for DJ work. Affordable, compact with good sound quality.
Purchased these for another set of wired earphones. When unpacking these, you can immediately tell they are made with quality. The earphones are heavy without being uncomfortable, and have detachable wires to each earphone. These are labeled with L & R on the wires to ensure you're hooking the right earphone into the cables. You are also provided with multiple silicone and foam tips to allow you to choose the best fitment for your ears. I found the ones that come installed work very well for my ears. Once you have the proper tips installed, you can comfortably wear these for hours they are that comfortable. I used these at home, listened to lossless audio and was very impressed with the sound. Highs and mids were clear and lows sounded good too. The audio wasn't tinny or suffer from distortion: it sounded quite good. Outside of listening to only music, I wore these on the plane during a three hour trip, hooked up to the in-flight entertainment. I watched a two and a half hour movie and heard every detail without issue. I also couldn't hear anything around me while these were in. While there isn't any built-in active noise cancelling, they do have really good noise isolation. They fit great, look fantastic, and have an extra long cord for you to maneuver around. The cord does have a unique design, but feels a little odd and somewhat fragile though labeled as metal. I'd worry this is a failure point in the future, but if you take good care of these I feel they will likely last. Overall, these are well worth their price and I'm very happy with these IEMs. I would recommend!
The Phenyx Dual driver in ear monitor are amazing .As a sound engineer and musician. These in-ears are amazing. Great sound with the lows and highs are amazing
These earphones have clear sound with good detail and solid bass. The detachable cable feels sturdy and stays fairly tangle-free, while the in-ear fit provides decent noise isolation. The overall build quality feels solid, although long-term durability is still unknown. A good option for music, gaming, or monitoring at this price.
These IEMs sound really good. They have clear, detailed sound without making voices harsh, and they are comfortable enough for longer listening sessions once I found the correct ear tips. Isolation is quite good, which is useful for gaming, monitoring, or listening in a noisy room.I like the detachable cable. Cables are usually the first part of wired earbuds to fail, so being able to replace it instead of throwing away the entire set is great. The fit is more secure than ordinary straight-down earbuds, although routing the cable over my ears took a little getting used to. These are still wired IEMs rather than active-noise-canceling headphones, and the sound will depend somewhat on tip fit and the source device. For the price, though, the build, comfort, and sound quality are all excellent. I am very happy with them.
I picked up the Phenyx Pro PME-20 for a mix of casual gaming and music listening. After testing them out, I am genuinely impressed by the value. The hybrid dual driver setup provides a surprisingly detailed soundstage that makes both footsteps in games and complex instrument layers in music stand out clearly. The build quality feels solid with the zinc alloy faceplate, and they are lightweight enough for me to wear for extended periods without fatigue. The cable is a nice touch; it is tangle free, and being detachable is a huge plus for long term durability. While the Phenyx Pro PME-20 performs great, the fit can be a bit finicky. It took me a few tries swapping the included ear tips to find the right seal for proper noise isolation and stability. Once I got that dialed in, they stayed put, but it is something to keep in mind. For the price, the clarity and versatility are hard to beat. They handle high and low frequencies with precision, making them a reliable workhorse for my daily audio needs. If you are looking for an affordable upgrade, these are definitely worth considering.
The Phenyx Pro PME-20 is a compelling budget hybrid IEM option. The combination of the 10mm dynamic driver for bass with the balanced armature for mids and highs creates a V-shaped sound signature that's enjoyable for long listening sessions. Bass hits hard and clean, vocals are clear without being harsh, and there's enough detail to keep me happy with critical listening. The zinc alloy housing is solid and the finish has held up well after a few months of regular use. I like that it comes with a proper 4N silver-plated cable — that's a real differentiator at this price point. The 2-pin detachable cable system is standard and replacement cables are easy to find. It also comes with a 6.35mm adapter, which is thoughtful for studio use.Fit is the one area where your mileage may vary. The housing is on the larger side, and while I can wear these for hours, I know some people with smaller ears who found them uncomfortable after 30 minutes. If possible, I'd recommend trying these at a store first. But for the sound quality per dollar, these are hard to beat. Excellent entry point into the hybrid IEM world.
Item: Phenyx Pro Hybrid Dual Driver in-Ear Monitor Earphones, Noise Isolation HiFi Stereo IEM w/Detachable Tangle-Free 2-Pin Cable, Wired Earbuds for Singers, Musicians, Gaming, Black (PME-20)The Phenyx Pro PME-20 IEMs weigh a bit more than most of my other IEMs, excepting the T2 Pros, but once inserted, they are very comfortable and the weight is s non-issue. Initially, the cord bugged me as it seemed too flimsy, but after using it for some time, it's sort of grown on me, so it doesn't really bother me anymore.Normally, I aim for a somewhat more neutral sound, but once in a while, I like to see, or rather hear, what other options there are out there. While the bass is more noticeable, it is present without over doing it. The hi, mid and low separation sounds good and they just have a pleasant presence I guess I'd say. These IEMs are very enjoyable and they offer a nice listening experience that's a bit more fun and these do that quite well for movies, music and general gaming.
The Phenyx Pro Hybrid Dual Driver In-Ear Monitors (PME-20) deliver an extraordinary audio experience that truly stands out in the world of professional earphones. Featuring a sophisticated hybrid dual driver design, these earphones effortlessly combine a powerful 10mm dual-magnet dynamic driver for deep, rich bass with a high-frequency balanced armature that produces crystal-clear mids and sparkling highs. The advanced electronic crossover technology perfectly blends these drivers, resulting in impeccably balanced, detailed, and immersive sound across the entire frequency range. What impresses me most is how easy they are to drive—with a low 22Ω impedance and high 107dB sensitivity, they perform flawlessly with smartphones, wireless bodypack receivers, audio interfaces, and mixing consoles straight out of the box. No external amplifier is needed, offering true plug-and-play convenience for professionals and audiophiles alike. The premium 4N high-purity silver-plated cable minimizes signal loss and interference, delivering pristine sound quality, while the reinforced detachable 0.78mm 2-pin interface adds durability and hassle-free cable replacement. The zinc alloy metal faceplate combined with the semi-transparent housing gives these earphones a sleek yet rugged look, and the memory wire over-ear design ensures a secure, comfortable fit for long sessions on stage or in the studio. The thoughtful all-inclusive kit is another highlight, featuring multiple ear tip sizes for a perfect custom fit, a sturdy metal carrying case for moisture protection, a 6.35mm adapter for professional gear, and a cable tie to keep everything neat and tangle-free. This makes the PME-20 a versatile solution, ideal not only for professional musicians, singers, drummers, and DJs but also for anyone who demands top-tier sound quality and reliability. In summary, the Phenyx Pro PME-20 earphones are a remarkable blend of cutting-edge audio technology, robust build quality, and user-friendly features, making them an excellent choice for both live performance and studio recording. They elevate every listening experience with clarity, depth, and precision.Highly recommended for anyone serious about sound!
I tried these Phenyx Pro hybrid dual-driver IEMs and they sounded decent with male vocals. Female vocals however brought out noticeable “s” sounds that I found unpleasant and distracting. They just weren’t for me personally — I much prefer a warmer sound with subtle bass emphasis and rolled-off highs rather than the brighter, more detailed presentation these seem to have. Other reviews appear more positive, so it might suit people with different tastes, but I’d probably pass if your profile leans like mine. These hybrid IEMs deliver okay performance on male vocals but introduce sibilance on female vocals that I couldn’t get past. They’re probably best for listeners or musicians who like a brighter, more analytical sound and don’t mind extra sparkle in the highs. If you prefer warm, smooth tuning with controlled treble like I do, you’ll likely want to look elsewhere or be ready to EQ them heavily.
I picked these up looking for a wired set of IEMs that could handle music, gaming, and general listening, and they've been a pleasant surprise. The sound is detailed and balanced, with solid bass that doesn't overwhelm everything else. Vocals come through clearly, and there is good separation between instruments, which makes music sound more refined than what I usually hear from standard earbuds. The fit is secure and comfortable thanks to the over-ear cable design. Once I found the right ear tips, they stayed in place well and did a good job blocking outside noise. They're easy to drive from a phone, laptop, or audio interface, so I didn't need any extra equipment to get good performance. The build quality feels sturdy for everyday use. The detachable cable is a nice touch because it adds some long-term durability and makes replacement easier if the cable ever wears out. I also like that these are versatile enough for music listening, gaming, video editing, or stage monitoring instead of being limited to a single purpose.Pros: Clear, detailed sound, comfortable fit, detachable cable, good noise isolation, solid build quality.Cons: Price is a bit higher than many entry-level IEMs, and the sound signature may be more analytical than some bass-heavy listeners prefer.Overall, I think these offer good value for the money if you're looking for a step up from basic earbuds. I would like to see a few more ear tip options included and perhaps a slightly softer cable, but as they are, they're a strong all-around choice.
