It comes with a hard case! The packing is nice and the unit feels quality! I have other mic systems that can scan for the best frequencies as well as read the spectrum, so I won’t have any issues finding clean channel. These only have 30 frequencies, however that is more than many at this price range! The mic itself seems to be larger in size than the lapel on their pdp-1-1b

I am beyond impressed with the Phenyx Pro UHF Wireless Microphone System! Not only does the system deliver crystal-clear sound and excellent range, but it also comes packaged in a fantastic hard case that really sets it apart. I just received the Phenyx Pro PTL 52 wireless microphone system. The unboxing was fine. No extravagant packing materials, but everything arrived in good, operational condition. The receiver was solid, and the rear of the unit contains separate XLR outputs for each mic. It also has a ? plug for a combined output. I really liked the display as it is large, bright and easy to read under different lighting conditions. As of this writing, I did not test the unit in direct sunlight. The package came with 1 dual receiver with two detachable antennas, 4 AA batteries, 2 Lav mics, 2 headset mics, AC power adapter, 2 small profile transmitters with belt clips, a 2 ft ? to ? cable and instruction booklet.Testing: Upon putting the batteries in the transmitters, they pair instantly with the receiver. Changing channels was as simple as pushing the channel change buttons on the front of the transmitter display. Transmitter display was clear. A long press on the top of the transmitter turns it on or off and a short press places the xmiter in ‘mute’ mode. I found this very useful. I did find that pressing the button didn’t always put the unit in mute. I’m not sure if it was me or a design issue. When mute is pressed there is a very small indicator in the upper part of the display. I wish it was bigger as it is hard to see when the unit is clipped to your pants’ waist. For this evaluation I used the headset mics and not the LAVS. The headset was very light and comfortable. When adjusted the position of the mic, place it off to the side so you won’t exhale into the pickup. It is important to note that the transmitter also has a volume control that adjusts the gain of the mic directly without having to readjust the level on the receiver. This is handy and I like it. Mic placement is important as it will tend to over modulate if the pickup is too close to your mouth. The mic boom is very flexible and keeping it in position is easy. Be careful not to bring up the gain too much as you ca.

Used the headsets for dance classes and they work great. Clean audio with no drop outs. I like the ability to send one mixed channel out to my mixer. Highly recommend it

I have reviewed the microphones, and my final thoughts are that they are excellent beginner body pack microphones with decent sound quality. I've noticed some dropouts, and there have been instances where the receiver randomly changes channels. I believe these microphones could be improved by adding an IR sensor on the body pack and the transmitter to share channels, rather than relying on wireless communication. I briefly tested the function of the microphones and the headset; they are quite similar to the other models you produce at Phenyx. I primarily used these microphones to make my speakers wireless with some adapters, which worked wonderfully. I highly recommend using them for this purpose. Overall, I would rate these microphones a 3.5

This unit the PTU-52 is great. However, I think I need just a little more range which the Phenyx Pro PTU-71 has as well as the auto-scan. There's NOTHING wrong with this unit but I think for my situation I may step up the the PTU-71.

First of all the build quality on this is great, very metal and not going to fall apart. I didn't go further than 50 feet but it held up to that range with no drop out. 4 double A batteries were included. I've used it twice so far with about 4 hours each time and batteries haven't died but I'll probably change them out each show now. Very light weight no issue on my head or lapel at all. UHF systems are my favorite because of the high range of frequencies. I have other uhf systems going and I had no interference on this system. Definitely a good price on it as well the added value of having a hard she'll case included is underrated. The included case is simple and sturdy hard plastic.

Great product for a wireless mic system. This is easy to setup and connects instantly with the wireless receivers. You do have the option of changing frequencies if you run into any interference. Phenyx Pro delivers quality products that are affordable for the normal consumer. You don't need to buy the expensive stuff to get great quality. This wireless system provides the balance for normal use in a compact carrying case. Sound quality is awesome as there were no drop outs during a two hour conference. Range is good to and provided great sound throughout the entire performance. I have bought multiple products from this company and their customer service is great and responsive too.

I got this for when I need microphones for weddings and private events. I am excited and happy at how well this microphone set works. I love that it comes with 2 different types of microphones to choose from. This helps me a lot when need to pick the right microphone for the right person. The set is great that it comes with a very handy carrying case that fits all of the accessories and even batteries. I like that the battery level is displayed and easily visible from a distance. I also like that the receiver has lots of visual aids to make sure the microphone transmitter is working correctly. I am very impressed by the audio sound quality that this microphone system can produce. It great that it even comes with audio cables to connect to my mixer. The microphone transmitters have worked very well in large line of sight rooms.

My video review says it all but if you want the highlights...Pros:- Exactly the same quality I've seen in a professional environment- Feels very sturdy and well built- Great sound quality for this sort of system- Great range with no drop out (see video, but I went upstairs to the furthest part of the house)Cons:- Lapel mics very low volume, barely pick up unless held in front of mouth- Case not really big enough to store everything that comes in it- Bunded Jack cable and adapter don't have a perfect connectionOkay, the list of cons isn't small but it's little stuff. The case could be bigger but everything does fit in it. The cable is iffy but that's a very easy and cheap job to fix. The only real downside is the volume of the lapel mics. See the video but when I tried it clipped to my hoodie there was no noticeable signal coming from the speaker. For the headsets though, the level is great, as long as you get the capsule facing the right way.I'm a presenter in a mobile planetarium and during busy times my voice gets quite tired as I might have to raise my voice to be heard over the audience so this is going to make my life a lot easier. If you're looking for a wireless system, this is a great one.

I just tested out the PTU-52-2B. It's a two body pack mircrophone set. This system is easy to set up. Each of the lapel and headset mics plug in easily to the transmitters. I like the fact the transmitters clip is wire, which easily clips onto clothing and holds securely. The unbalanced output was how we connected, but I assume the balanced XLR outputs are likely as easy. I was impressed with the sound quality. The headset mics seemed to pick up better than the lapel mic did, but that was likely where it was mounted. They seemed to have no issue picking up a range of voices (children/adult, etc.). We started experiencing drop outs after about 50' with walls in-between. With clear line of sight, our testing did not have any dropouts (didn't go beyond 50'.I would recommend these for those looking for body packs that are well priced with decent sound quality. A good bank for the buck. Note, I was provided the funds to purchase by the manufacturer who did not place any limitations on my review.

This system could give bigger name brands a run for their money.Setup is super easy, but the most impressive thing about this system is the sound quality.I’ve used this system through a Bose S1+ and a pair of QSC K12.2s. I’ve used lavs that sound like you’re pushing them through a cardboard box and have to be EQd heavyyy.These are probably the best I’ve used so far. I still did a slight cut in the mids but not necessary at all (at least for standard voice use). I use these mainly for mic-ing acoustic guitars and they work great. We drop them in the sound holes with a wind muffler cover. Of course, this isn’t their intended purpose so we have to EQ a bit, that’s expected when mic-ing up any instrument.Overall, this system is versatile, easy to use, great quality. Only thing left to test is durability.

Works well

This unit was packaged greatly with only cardboard so it's a great fo recycling packaging with not a bunch of extra fluff. The unit worked flawlessly when used at the yoga center. We had plenty of other Wi-Fi equipment running and had no issues with extra noise or anything. Sound quality was great. The battery life worked perfectly and the vocal quality was exactly what we needed in a nice small package so it's easy to handle.

The PTU 52-2B is fantastic unit.Price, build quality are unmatched and comparable with units 5 times the price!I have used it in 200 person club gigs, 200 person weddings with minister mic'd with lavalier and even in 2500 seat theatre shows with over 12 channels of wireless working. Did not have any issues!The lavalier mics could benefit from stronger mics. They have to be really close to pick up with out almost maxing out volume on unit, mixing channels and gain. Other then that is one of best units around.When people use my phenyx pro gear and have not used them before they're ALWAYS blown away by sound quality even before I tell them price. The price part usually floors and baffles them lol! Great job!I own 6 units from Phenyx pro and I plan for more!

Easy to adjust channels. Case metal, transmitters are heavy duty plastic. Good sound quality especially on headphone mics. Good buy for the money.

I love this unit! It is easy to transport, setup, and tear down (assuming it's not in a rack). Mic connection to the unit is very easy. The range is also great, dropouts don't happen until getting out of range. You just want to make sure the unit's antenna is up high enough. You are also not limited to just using body packs, compatible handhelds also work with this unit. I would also suggest to take care of your bodypacks since the plastic hinges may be susceptible to breaking if handled improperly. I would recommend any and all of Phenyx Pro's equipment.

Simple and easy to setup and use. Headset mic really works well.But the lapel mic is where the main problem is. You need to hold them really close to your mouth to make them work. And that’s where the problem is because you know lapel mic is not for holding in your mouth but to hang them on your shirt.Anyways since it is using standard audio pins, 3rd party lapel mic should do the job.
