PCBL-4IN1 | 4-channel XLR Snake Cable (3FT/6FT/10FT)

The Phenyx Pro 4 channel Xlr is a solid snake cable with excellent construction. The cable itself is robust, and seems like it will last a long time. Opening the Xlr connectors reveals well soldered connection points, and the included channel number clips make hookup a breeze. In my own testing, the cables provided clean signal to the mixer without any loose connection/crackling while wiggling the cables. I highly recommend this cable!

This is a great snake cable. No issues so far and I love that they cables are color coated in addition to having small numbered label clips that you can from one cable to another for easily identifying which cable goes to which mic. No complaints whatsoever.

I like the idea of a small snake for things like wireless products, it cleans up the wires laying around for band members tripping over.

Just got another batch of cables from Phenyx pro; once again, I haven't found any duds in the first pass, and everything seems to be of acceptable quality. To be fair, I haven't tried (and likely won't try) to analyze the signal contents on a fine level, nor have I assembled any long cable runs to test the shielding / signal quality over distance. In my experience, as long as it's a low-maintenance type of situation then pretty much any audio cables found on Phenyx pro are worth a shot.

Assembly isn't terrible, but I wouldn't go bragging about it. About a third of the soldering is what I would consider "marginal", and for a few of the connections I would not trust it without re-working them first. I don't think the internal strain relief clamps are sized correctly for the cable used. Taking the shells off shows that the teeth are only just barely gripping the jackets at their tips, with no indentations showing that the rest of the teeth are holding tightly. I haven't taken off more stars because the connectors feel acceptable and after fixing the connections and adding some heatshrink under the clamps, it should work well.

The last part is what this snake should be used for. Seems to be competently soldered and is repairable. Product appears to be high quality with lots of attention to detail.The Bad: Connectors housings are thin, and will crush under any weight. This can be used for static installations, but not where the connectors could be exposed to any abuse. They will not survive it. I don't have faith the strain relief will be effective, as the inner plastic is too pliable to grab the wire properly. These connectors are not professional.Conclusion: Not for live or field use, but studio connections should work fine. Rating was on border of 3/5 for connector quality, but good craftsmanship and attention to design detail pushed it to a 4/5. If not subject to roadies throwing things around, should be a great value. Otherwise, pass for any live use.

I used this snake to hook an API 3124 to an XLR patch bay. It sounds as good as it did when using a Mogami to DB25 cable, so I can't complain.I use this in a 'plug-in and do not-touch' type of setup, and it's performed flawlessly. I can't vouch for quality if it's constantly being plugged and unplugged, but it seems like it would be fine.It is much nicer than brand H, which is also more expensive.

I needed this for a bi-amped PA system to connect an active crossover to the power amps. This does the trick and offers a clean, noiseless sound. It's a great product at a good price!
