I bought 2 of these to replace my Behringer C-2 mics. I use them for live applications on hi-hats & ride. These mics are really nice sounding mics at the hi-end freqs. They are crisp and clear while on the HPF. These are way better than the C-2's and they are very affordable. I would buy another 2 if I had to buy again. Comes with everything you need and easy to use. They're built just right for road use. They weigh next to nothing. Can be used on almost any mic stand or mic holder. They sound great in my in-ear set up.

These are great mics for the price
All my other mikes are Sennheisers, Shures and EVs but I need an inexpensive mike for a project and this fit my cost profile. Not saying that this is top-of-the-line but I cannot deny that it performs well enough for most applications. Sound is clean and clear both with a cable and a wireless transmitter attached (make sure your wireless has 48V phantom power).
Bought this mic for my Meinl hihat. Requires XLR cable and a 48V interface input. Comes with a mic holder and a pop filter. Sounds great for practice and novice recording sessions. Excelent buy for the drummer on a budget.Well built. Clear sound quality. Might have to put EQ on hihat to get it sounding crispy.
Simply put, the Phenyx Pro PDM35 is solid. The build quality surpassed my expectations--a metal chassis with a jack that grips the cable tight. Sonically, it’s not as crispy bright as most other condensers, but I actually prefer that. This mic is also slightly less sensitive than others I’ve tried, which makes it more suitable for stages with louder drummers. I experimented using a single PDM35 as a drum overhead and it sounded phenomenal! I’m very happy with my purchase.
This is an amazing product! Gave 4 out of 5 stars due to the mud i had to remove between 250 hz and 400 hz. Other than that, it is amazing. Well built, excellent warmth and brightness without alot of high end noise. Just a great product.
I bought the Phenyx PTD 10 kit and I am super happy with the results. A great kit for recording.
