Absolutely 5 stars for the price! I am a wedding DJ in Colorado and have found absolute confidence in using this lapel for officiants! You do want to have a direct line of site, but I have yet to experience any drop outs even with 80+ people between! The auto switching channel makes it easy to keep the receiver and transmitter on the same channel! USB-C charging makes it easy to charge! The only downside for me, is it does not properly fit into my Denon prime 4+. This is due to the back of the prime unit not being flush. Phenyx does include an adapter, but I will need an extender to use it with the prime.Great build quality and stylish look! The box fits in your center console! If you’re looking for a quick and easy, yet reliable lapel option, look no further!Are there better out there? Yes, even Phenyx Pro has “better” options, however this unit does exactly what it’s advertised to do, at a VERY attractive price point!It comes with a clip on and over the ear mic option.

I am surprised with the quality of this product, it is heard very strongly, although it is not so expensive for the functionality it makes it is perfect and that is the best

Hey everyone. It’s that time again. Review time. I recently received the PDP-1-1B Digital UHF Single Wireless Microphone System.Best feature is the price. Priced under $60 this unit is affordable for anyone needing a handsfree Mic Unit.This unit came very well packaged with everything easy to get to and set up.It comes with a 1/4 inch plug in receiver, body pack and 2 microphone choices, headset and lapel. These units are very well made of metal and a good weight.The beauty of this unit is, it is rechargeable, no need to keep buying batteries with this unit.Once plates in its very easy yo get your channel set on the unit and start using. It has a very good sound quality with both microphone choices, I prefer the headset as it has less wind noise or extra sound coming from bumping it or clothes brushing it. The headset set could be using for singing where your hands need to be free such as drummers, piano players, or basically any instrumentalist, dancers such as in musicals, or the actors in plays. So in other words it is very versatile.I would highly recommend this unit especially for DJ’s needing something for weddings, traveling preachers wanting their own headset mic, churches with limit space in the sound room, schools needing headset mics for speakers in large groups settings. And of course any theatre where ease of set of for performers is needed.Only negative is the booklet in the Bo’s with instructions and information is very small and extremely hard to read.Overall rating of a 8.5 out of 10.

Great product in Sound and Quality for the price. My use is for You Tube Videos. Short learning curve. For most recording equipment (Video Camcorders) you will need to use a mixer. This will allow you to produce better sound quality and eliminate picking up breathing sounds when speaking. Photo attached of a general mixer. This system is amazing! Not only are the general uses excellent, but I recently had to use this in a pinch on an instrument with the lapel microphone. While playing an acoustic gig, I had a malfunction with my acoustic electric ukulele. The Jack needs to be repaired, so I grabbed my acoustic and put the lapel microphone on it and was pleasantly surprised. It managed to get me through the gig, and it sounded great. Mixing with this unit is very easy (personally done on a soundcraft ui25r). I actually had to turn in the game down in comparison to my normal mics. I couldn’t be happier. Don’t sleep on this gem!

As a mobile DJ , I keep looking for a lapel mic that is 1. Affordable 2. Easy to bring and not take lot of space in my bag 3. Convenient 4. Get the job done. Well this little piece of equipment just blew me away, I have to admit - it works very great. Over the weekend I had an outdoor wedding and I pair it with my Bose S 1 Pro, it was very windy and that lapel mic holds it own. I was surprise that it actually pick up the Bride and Groom while they did there vows , that is a PLUS +10 . I hope it continues to work for more wedding and I can charge a little extra now for that , before I would offer only a wireless mic.

The PDP-1-1B, thumbs up on this one. Love the fact that it was very easy to plug in n go. Used it last weekend for rehearsal & Sunday church. Didn't get to test the range since I just plugged it into the direct box of my wired piano mic. I used, of course, the headworn mic of it. I do like the goose neck style of the mic. We had the countryman before where it gets all mangled the more you use it and twist it around. I think my favorite part of this wireless system, is that the receiver is just a plug smaller than your hand. It's very portable. This definitely gonna go to my mobile system.

Fantastic product for the price. Exceptional build quality and long battery life. I have been using this wireless microphone in a church setting at least once a week for the past 2 months mounted on my music stand to amplify my acoustic mandolin. Sound quality is great in that environment.Pros: Build quality, battery life, volume and sound quality, USB-C charging ports, battery level on transmitter, no interference, easy to read display. The microphone cable connection to the transmitter is perfect! Microphone is incredibly sensitive and picks up sound very well. (I only tested the clip-on mic and not the headset mic.)Cons: Power button, mute, and channel buttons are too close together. Too easy to power off the unit or change channel when trying to mute the microphone. (I think the channel button should be on the bottom and small because channels are not something I change on a regular basis. The power button should be on the top, and only the mute button on the side.) Receiver should have a better indicator for battery charge level. There is no volume control but this is not that important as I control volume on the mixer panel. That said, making a small quick adjustment on the transmitter is not possible.Bottom line: Great portable microphone if remote volume control is not needed and one is careful about the buttons being pressed. Great purchase.

At first look came in a nice sleek box the microphone is light weight with a big punch . Clear vocals come out when talking and singing , had some feedback but that could have been on my end of things. For the price of this product it’s worth it if you just need one microphone.

I put the pdp-1 to the test! I have many pheynx pro mic systems for my karaoke business. We use the ptu5000 (x3), the ptu5200, and the Ptu-1U (x2) and now the pdp-1. Although the range isn't as great as the others, I was able to stretch over 200 ft without drop outs. The sound was as good the 5000 and 5200 being clear and precise. I also used it in my classroom setting which where it worked phenomally plugged directly into an active speaker. The pairing was simple, and easy enough to teach my 10-12 year old students. We worked it real hard during summer school and the battery lasted the whole week as we used it for at least 30 min per day on/off. I'm mostly going to use it as my own MC mic to allow my other 5 mics for karaoke group songs. What a great and easy way to add an additional mic to my systems.

This mic for what it is, has great sound and great features. For $40 this mic has a lot to offer and at the same time it lacks a lot as well. I work for a church as the sound engineer and our services bring in around 500+ people, so you can imagine that we need reliable equipment. I run Senheiser and Shure mics which are upwards of $700+ so comparing the Phenyx mic to those I mentioned is not fair. But I will be honest with my review keeping in mind the price point.The Phenyx mic looks like the Shure Betta58 mic with the round capsule which is what I really like.The build is sturdy. I believe it's aluminum or some other light metal. The capsule is also metal.The screen on the mic is pretty bright and easy to read. Twisting the sleeve for the battery compartment is really smooth, the threads don't feel rough. The mic has a good weight and doesn't feel cheap. The transmitter or the bottom of the mic is plastic. It does feel cheap and I feel that with time it will crack or if it's dropped from a good height it will crack. Im not too confident it will last.Now to get to the receiver.The receiver is really small. To turn on/off the receiver is a round button. The build of the receiver is also built with a light metal. I like that you can use a USB C charger to charge the unit. The unit feels like it'll last a good while.Now to the sound quality and connectivity.When I put the 2AA batteries in the mic and turned on the mic and turned on the receiver, the connection was instant. I liked that I didn't have to search for channels or hit a sync button to connect the units.I connected the receiver to the stage box on stage and did a sound test. I eq'd the mic and got it up and running for our Sunday service. The sound was really good and clear and the range stated on the box was 200ft which I believe to be true. I walked with the mic to the mixer room which is about 100ft from the receiver with no drops or interference.Cons':The capsule is very fragile and the polar pattern p.

Simple affordable portable wireless microphone. Just plug in the receiver, turn on the microphone and you're all set to go! It comes with a few additional accessories too. I own a few other Pheynx Pro products and they are great quality for the price. Highly recommended!

This mic is a no-brainer at the price! I'm a professional mixing/mastering/live sound engineer so I'm using this product in the field and it held up to all my expectations. I use it as my talkback mic mainly but have set it up as a vocal mic for backup singers as well. I was using a traditional corded mic but wanted the ability to be able to move around the venue and still have the option to use the mic. It's super quick and easy to set up. Pairing the mic to the receiver couldn't be easier as well. I will list some pros and cons.Pro:1. Setup and pairing is super easy and fast. It's really nice not to have run any extra XLR or power cables as well.2. It operates in the 900MHz range which in my experience is typically not as crowded as other more popular digital frequencies. This means you are far less likely to run into interference/reception issues as you would with say a 2.4GHz system.3. The signal is digital! There are many benefits to this. One is the audio quality will be much much better than an analog system. Two, you don't need to worry about the noise floor creeping up on you when using compression and eq. Three, should you have reception issues you don't have to worry about clicks/pops/dropouts. The signal is either on or off. I prefer that over getting noise in the signal. Especially clicks/pops/fuzz.4. They include all the connections you could need to use the mic properly.5. The mic and receiver both feel like they are made of high-quality materials. It doesn't feel like a toy or "cheap" when you handle it.6. You get the Phenyx Pro name for a very low cost! I use other gear from Phenyx Pro so I know how reliable their gear is and how well it will perform. It holds up to the big names in performance every time.7. You get 15 channels! With other mics in this price range, you typically get a fixed frequency which is never going to be ideal.8. I recently decided that I needed to investigate wireless microphone systems, because they seemed to be getting easier to use and more reasonably priced. I was so done with lugging 20 foot long XLR wires, setting them up, taping them down so no one would trip over them and then pulling them up again after a gig. I tried to find a wireless system that could be easy to set up, low priced, had good performance, excellent quality and most importantly was durable. I have always used an SM58 for my vocals and music recording and have been well satisfied with the quality of sound, the craftsmanship and the overall reliability. After searching Phenyx pro for a possible candidate system, I noticed the Phenyx PDP-1. It had the same look as my SM58 but the price was unbelievable, below $50. I wrestled with purchasing it because of the low price. I couldn't believe that something inexpensive could have good quality and decent performance.I finally purchased it and was pleasantly surprised. The quality and feel of the microphone and the receiver are that of a much more expensive system. The receiver has a built-in rechargeable battery but the microphone requires two AA cells, which were included. I opted to use two rechargeable Lithium ion AA cells which I also use in my Zoom H4 recorder because they last longer than alkaline cells and don't wind up in the landfill. The PDP-1 set-up took me less than a minute to learn and after popping in the batteries holding the on button down for 2 seconds on the microphone and then on the receiver, it was ready to go. I used it at my Monday morning band rehearsal recording as a secondary microphone to a condenser microphone and an SM58. The results were very impressive. The sound quality is as good as the SM58 to my ears, but not as good as the condenser microphone. The recital hall was full of fluorescent lights and I suspected they would cause havoc with the wireless ability of the system. To my amazement in all of two hours of recording t.

So I'm in a band and we've used the Phenyx ProPTU-7000 mics for our live setup for a couple years now and have loved them! However we also do a podcast and occasionally have guests on. We needed an extra mic for these times, but wanted it to be a really simple plug and play and that's exactly what this offers! Super clean sound with no extra wires or fuss and set up. I can highly recommend this to anyone that needs a no muss no fuss mic with great clarity!
