PTU-2U-2H | True Diversity Dual Wireless Microphone System

My wife and I are a touring `ukulele duo (Uke66.com). We received our PTU-TU shortly before a weekend of playing two luaus and one garden wedding. I decided to give it a test so I installed the receiver in my rack-case with my Behringer X-Air 18, put batteries in the mic/transmitters, grabbed one Bose S1 pro speaker and off we went. The unit was easy to install, connected nicely to my mixer, felt very secure, and was intuitive to operate. In all three cases, the receiver quickly scanned for the strongest frequency, the mics paired instantly to the receiver, and batteries lasted four hours with time to spare. We played in three different spaces: one outdoors, and two very different cavernous dining rooms to audiences of 50-65 people. No drop outs, no distortion, good sound and coverage. While we are rarely any distance from the unit's four antennas the wedding official surprised us by borrowing one of the mics and used it effectively from nearly 65 feet away. I am used to using SM-58 microphones and am impressed that the PTU-SU felt, performed, and sounded just as good at a fraction of the cost. I feel that, with time and experience, I will get better at using this system in diverse environments to get even better sound quality but overall I was pleased and satisfied with the PTU-SU's performance right out of the box. From now on, it will stay in my rack-case and serve as our "go to" for the foreseeable future. I used my iPhone 7 on a tripod to collect video samples from each of the three performances. This system will be a good fit for any touring acoustic duo. I'm a fan.

I really like how this new mics are well built. A bit heavy than it's Shure counterparts, but just like Sm58s, you can drop the mic and that casing won't get beat up. Signals are pretty good. Like the LED displays on both the mics and the receiver. Definitely Great Wireless System for the price. I think its very comparable to it's Shure counterparts but much affordable.

I had a good chance to try this mic out in many scenarios and it worked very well in all of them. This really is the best value at this price range. Highly recommended for DJs and Norte?o banda. These mics sounded great. Are built very well. The range is great too. I usually use Sennheiser mics for all my gigs which are way more expensive. The phenyx pro worked well along side those at a fraction of the price . I will likely get more phenyx pro mics.

This company has done it again! I am blown away by this unit. I am professional musician and have used these playing out twice. Once for an open micro event that I host and then the next night for a duo acoustic gig that I had. The clarity is super superb, they are built very solid and seem to be extremely high-quality. These will be my go to microphones for every event.

First off I want to say the mic is solid. Feels good in the hand weight wise, not like a light cheap mic. I was able to use it along with 3 other shure wireless systems and had no interference or drop outs etc. great all night. Got about 4 hours worth of use and battery icon still showed full.. if I had to pick out 1 bad thing I’d say it would be the power button location. Just doesn’t fee as easy as the ones you can just do with 1 hand using your thumb etc. but it’s not too big of a deal.

Definitely a great addition to my stage rack! I have used all types of Phenyx Pro mics, and they have done it again! These mics sound fantastic! Crisp and clear with no interference or dropouts even at around 300 ft. I use them for live performance as well as karaoke. The mics are metal, very well built and sturdy. Although I haven't let the batteries run down all the way before changing, battery life has been excellent. I do 6 gigs a week and they have lasted at least 2 gigs at 4 hours each. I would recommend this system to anyone looking for a high-end wireless mic system at a low price.

I bought the PTU-2U through Aliexpress and I've been using it for 6 months at corporate events and the paint sticks started to come off, the quality of this paintwork should be better, the stick looks very ugly.

The PTU-2U is a ???????? I used this system for a live performance with Doug E. Fresh, and these microphones performed flawless!! I was very impressed. Dougie beat boxing was clear with no distortion at all. My next pu4chse will be a Lapel system with with 4 units

We just set up the PTU-2U for a quick baptism outdoors. The microphones had great headroom even with a small Yamaha mixer. Being that this mixerhad no EQ control, I was hesitant to use these and was pleasantly surprised by the strong mids and overall dynamics of this mic. We had ZERO dropouts and the quality of these microphones were top notch. The only negative I could attribute to these mics were the weight. The build quality far outweighs the weight factor. I definitely plan on adding these mics to our regular service lineup.

This set is next level performance and value! Feels and performs like a high end microphone. I definitely felt like my other equipment was the weak link when using this. I would recommend for use in any kind of performance setting. Picks up full vocals clearly and cleaning. Construction feels quality with the metal screw off battery cover and rubber power button. Doesn’t feel like it’s going to break with normal wear and tear.Used it in a karaoke setting and it definitely performed and felt like the nicest microphone I’ve used before in similar settings. Passed it around to about a dozen different singers and it picked up each singers voice clearly. It picked up the more timid singers clearly and also allowed the more experienced singers to modulate volume easily by controlling distance to the mic (didn’t drop off suddenly when you got further away).The channels were easy to set and overall setup was quick and easy. This is about as plug and play ready as you’ll find. The separate volume controls are nice. The outputs are standard (balanced xlr for each mic or a 1/4 in unbalanced combined). I primarily used the 1/4 in out and it performed very well.It is comfortable to hold with some weight, but not too heavy. Also, even after hours of singing there was no sign of the batteries dying.Whether doing karaoke, public speaking, or a concert, this set could likely handle it with ease. Given the price point, it’d be tough to beat or come close to this quality, performance or value.

I've only had mine a couple of weeks but it's been great so far. Opened the box, plugged it in, put on the antennas and went. Both mic's were already synced to a channel. We used it at 2 practices and then did a 45 min live set, No dropouts or interference. The Ir feature is nice and works well to sync the microphones too. Everything feels and looks like good quality, and we had several compliments on the clarity of our vocals. We will definitely be looking into more products from Phenyx Pro!

Let me tell you something, you want a high quality mic and not break the bank!? These are them right here. Well built, sound great! The only tricky thing is figuring out the IR sync but after we did it worked great! Looking forward to gigging with these!

I have never heard of Phenyx but just from looking at them they looked like They were in line with PYLE gear. After unboxing them and using them, I would say they are a little better quality than most of the PYLE products I've owned. The rack mount system looks great and does what it's supposed to! The mics have a little heft to them and once gain staging is set up, these guys will make you sound good. I put these up against my buddies $600 Shure set and thought they were more dynamic and even felt better quality. Splosives were slightly better on the Shure but that's about it. My only complaint is the two AA batteries these units take will get eaten up in a 3 + hour set. I'll probably just look for a rechargeable four pack. I was running three wireless receivers and transmitters plus both mics and didn't have any issues with crosstalk or blocked frequencies. Overall I am very happy with these.

I got 2 of these...so 4 mics total. I put them through rigorous testing with and without paddle antennas at my venue. I then put them into use at my first 2 events...and the second event experience multiple dropouts and complaints from client.Here's the deal...this mic works great and sounds great...period...until your hand covers the very bottom of the mic where the transmitter antenna exists and then...well, good luck. The mic becomes almost useless at that point because after a few dropouts the speaker will simply look at you like you are an idiot.You can tell your speakers all you want that they shouldn't hold the mic at the bottom, but it will just keep happending. We came up with a simply solution to eliminate folks from holding the mic at the bottom and you can come up with your own, but you MUST avoid covering this bottom antenna if you want these mics to work properly. You can be standing 20ft from the strongest paddle antenna on the market and the mics will still dropout. Give it a try yourself. These mics have a design flaw.I hope this helps y'all avoid refunding money to your clients. I'm still going to use these mics...but will remain vigilant on this design flaw because they work great otherwise.

?This Review is for the PTU-1U & PTU-2U since they are both actually the same product. 1 Unit Comes with 1 Microphone and the Other Comes with 2 Microphones. First Off we have waited almost a Year to write this review because we wanted to give a honest review. As a band / Ministry we travel a-lot through out the year and have taken these Microphones with us to almost every event, concert, gig and even our livestreams and it haven’t failed us yet. Range and Audio Is Crystal Clear and Haven’t had any dropouts especially since it’s a True Diversity Wireless System. The Receiver has a ton of Features Like Squelch, Auto Scan, Unit-Lock up and Many More. The sound quality you get from this Unit is Great But isn’t by any means at the same level of a Shure or Sennheiser. But guess what??? It will still get the job done and 90% of people using it or at Venue hearing it wont ever tell the difference. 2 AA Batteries and a Rubber Stopper are Also Included. Battery Life Is About 16hrs (Depending How Much You Use The System). The build quality is rugged and tougher than what it seems. It comes with a travel case and mounting accessories. The Power plug is very long about 6-8ft and it also has rubber feet if you want to put it on a table or any flat surface. The Capsule and Grille Are Both Removable and can be Changed If Damaged or if you want to customize it with a Different Color Grille!Only Con is the excessive Handling Noise Phenyx Pro Microphones Have but this Unit has improved on it by a lot. If They can Fix This Issue with all of their Wireless Microphones systems Then They will be a giving Shure and Sennheiser a run for their Money.If Money is an issue and you want a Great True Diversity Wireless Microphone System Then look no Further than the PTU-1U / PTU-2U. It’s a Must Buy on A Budget In My Opinion!
